I started cutting my own hair years ago, back when I was rocking a man-bun / braids on the top, so my sides were shaved. Was pretty straight forward to buzz the sides myself myself, and eventually when I cut the top, I started taking care of that too. It's mostly challenging because I wear glasses and have to constantly take them off and on, but I can give myself a basic fade. Has saved me tons of money
I don't blame you, I nearly took kitchen shears to my hair a few months back lol

I got tired of having long ass hair today. Hadn't had a haircut since..... august? maybe? I can't even remember. Buzzed a #4 all over. Might take it to a #2 on the back and sides in a week or so. Don't have 2 moveable mirrors either so lining up my edges is damn near impossible. Fuck it. short hair don't care.

I caught my daughter's long hair several months after the pandemic started and really fucked it up. It basically became a triangle because I am an idiot and know nothing about long hair it would seem.

yeah I was in that boat, too. I finally cut my anoying afro to something much lower. It looked good in the front, but then I felt the back and it was completely flat in like 3 places...

I informed my roommates from behind the hallway wall that I fucked up before arriving. At first glance, they didn't get it. Then they looked up.
And up.
And up.
And despaired.
Wow yeah that is pretty bad. I've been cutting my own hair with my beard trimmer since the pandemic started, and I've gotten pretty decent at it. But my hair also grows super quickly so messing up isn't a big deal for me.

Yeah mine does too. The clippers were struggling to cut through my rat's nest.
7 months without a haircut and it was driving me crazy. The last time, my wife gave me a great haircut. But we've been so busy lately that I decided to save her the trouble and take matters into my own hands and...well...
Anyway...I'll be wearing a winter hat like a college kid at a 311/Dispatch show for the next few weeks.
Anyone else have a Covid-related haircut mishap?
Just take it down to a 2 on the sides and an 8 on top, and you'll fix the shit that you wrecked up: and in a month or two, it'll grow back to comb-it-a-bit length.

In the first of the UK lockdowns my wife cut my hair with the dog clippers, it didn't go well.
Haven't had my haircut since before Christmas now and it's driving me nuts, I usually have very short hair in the sides and any hair touching my ears drives me crazy. Not long now until the barbers open again, but I keep looking at the dog clippers.
