My wife came home from a couple of doctor appointments yesterday, and they mentioned that she should pre-register for the vaccine as soon as possible to get a spot in line. This is the first that any of us had heard about this, but now everyone in my house is Pre-Registered! Never thought I'd be pre-ordering a vaccine like I would a video game. For context, we're located in NJ.

If anyone has anything similar, I'll edit the OP and add the links you guys have for anything similar for other states!

Report your symptoms to the CDC here: https://vsafe.cdc.gov/

In Georgia, please check your local health department's website. There should be an electronic form to fill out to request an appointment.

https://dph.georgia.gov/covid-vaccine -> https://dph.georgia.gov/document/document/vaccine-orders-list/download -> Use the CTRL-F search function to see if your local county/provider have been allocated any and check their website to see if they offer a pre-registration link. This list is updated regularly.
https://www.reddit.com/r/CoronavirusGA/ <- Found a Fulton County link for online scheduling https://fultoncountyboh.jotform.com/210075657162049

No restriction on where you can get it as long as you are a GA resident and meet the phase criteria.

Some more rural health boards that manage multiple counties aren't equipped to handle the call volume or take online scheduling (least is the case as of this writing for South Metro Atlanta). https://www.district4health.org/ <- Their appointment line is always busy.

Anyway. Be safe, Georgia.

WA:

Some hospitals, such as MultiCare, offer an option for patients who live within minutes of a vaccination clinic to register and be part of an on-call list. That's in case someone misses an appointment, and there are extra doses at the end of the day.

Rocky rollout: massive vaccine demand, uncertain supply, website troubles

Almost as soon as Washington state rolled out its PhaseFinder website, it crashed. The next morning, the Department of Health website that has a vaccine location list — a partial one at least — also crashed.

The hospital I go to sent out an email today saying that they were doing sign ups for 75+ and general healthcare workers. I got quite a wait to go here, in CA.

We don't have a preregistration I don't think. It's just broken down by phases and list who can get it

All NYS has is a website to check eligibility right now: https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov

I am in the next group and will apparently be able to register as early as Monday. I knew I would be one of the earlier groups (I'm a public school teacher), but I never imagined it would be this soon. I was thinking more February/March.

Apparently if you registered early enough in NJ they gave you an actual date? But I registered last night and did not get one.

I wish I knew what the fuck I gotta do in order to express interest for the vaccine here in Spain

My understanding is that they'll call me and give me a date in order to get it (for free obviously) but idk I'm nervous and I want it asap

They really need systems like this. With so many declining the vaccine it's slowing the rollout. I'd show up somewhere if they said, "We're vaccinating healthcare workers, show up here and there may be doses left over because some of them refuse to take it."

Anything in Illinois? Googled but couldn't find anything

Vaccine Information

A safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine is a critical component of the U.S. strategy to reduce COVID-19-related illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths. Easy access to COVID-19 vaccines is equally important. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is working with public health...

Just lists the order for now, for the most part, and answers some basic FAQ stuff.

I'm in Florida where next week they'll start putting a single vaccine dose in a nursing home and then tell all the old people to find it and violence is acceptable.

My employer will be notifying me when I can get mine. According to the last update from management there's not even a loose date. It will rightfully be going to all of the care providers first.

I'm a teacher in NY too. Thanks for the information. Didn't know about it.
NYSUT sent out an email about it yesterday, which was backed up by others within my school and county. It may vary on a county per county basis on just how soon it will happen. I'm in a rural area that would be much easier to vaccinate than, say, NYC, but I could also see them prioritizing teachers in the city.

My city (Houston) has a pre-registration site, but these spots are going as fast as PS5's. Sucks, man.

Thanks OP. I posted the NJ link in the OT but I know a lot of people don't go in that. We should probably sticky these resources.

For me, I'm lucky, able to work from home and with an introverted personality I'm fine staying home for extended periods. So I'll let people in more danger or having problems working get theirs first. When it looks like movie theaters are going to open up again, maybe I'll go for a walk-in then, as I do miss going out to see a movie.

Just hope scalpers don't start using bots to snag them all...

I looked at TX and they're in Phase 1B which includes over 65's and over 16's who have at least one condition. And as I searched the list I was like Commodus in Gladiator: "As I read the list, I knew I had none of them. But I have other virtues." It's probably moot anyway, since of the places near me that I checked none had any supply and several had never been supplied at all so far.

(TX) Who can get the vaccine now?
Front-line healthcare workers and residents at long-term care facilities (called Phase 1A) plus people over 65 or with a chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from COVID‑19 (called Phase 1B) are currently eligible to receive the COVID‑19 vaccine.

  • People 65 years of age and older
  • People 16 years of age and older with at least one chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19, such as but not limited to:
    • Cancer
    • Chronic kidney disease
    • COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
    • Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies
    • Solid organ transplantation
    • Obesity and severe obesity (body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or higher)
    • Pregnancy
    • Sickle cell disease
    • Type 2 diabetes mellitus

A friend of mine who works in a hospital in Oregon told me this is actually happening, and that quite a few random people have managed to get their first dose this way

Thread seemed like a good resource, so we're pinning it for a while. Gonna go through and threadmark the sites and conclusions later.

This is great! Nothing for Utah that I can find yet.

I really hope we ramp things up. If vaccines are sitting around not being used, we are really fucking up.
