There are a lot of cheeses that smell a lot worse than brie.
Brie isn't even stinky.
This is also like a 3 out of 10 in terms of stinkinessSome say Raclette stinks, but it's the most delicious thing on Earth
This is also worth pointing out. I've had some quite smelly cheeses that taste quite mild, and vice-versa. Y'all need to eat more cheese.
The combination of the fatty/salty/sweet/umami of the cheese + all these intense aromatic qualities makes for a complex flavor experience that is enjoyable all together.
Sure you can. That's too intense for many, but it's not like it's not also good by itself.
So what you are trying to say is you are incredibly ignorant about cheese?
(Also Brie really isn't all that smelly wtf)
Jesus Christ, Gouda isn't stinky either. So the office bought some stinky cheese for some announcement and I thought it was brie, turns out it was Gouda
if cheese were porn gouda would be softcoreSo the office bought some stinky cheese for some announcement and I thought it was brie, turns out it was Gouda
Gouda is the sound guy.
You actually think Brie/Gouda are stinky? They barely have a smell. Try some blue cheese, those actually have a pretty strong smell and are really delicious. There's also a traditional Hungarian cheese called "Pálpusztai" that got (in)famous for it's horrible smell. I never tried it, but smelled it as a kid a lot when my grandmother would eat it, and it's so bad that you pretty much have to leave the room if you don't wanna puke.
Smell my finger. How can you all taint your olfactory nerves with such repugnant nonsense
Shame!
Don't kink shame!
Brie that you find in the US barely has any smell.People saying that Brie doesn't smell, are you from America?
Proper raw milk Brie de Meaux has a strong smell, but it's illegal in the US
Brie that you find in the US barely has any smell.
If you find like Brie but artisanal or something it actually smells but not that strongly.
Also Reblochon is the best thing you can melt.
If it wasn't life would be much more bearable there.
Brie isn't even bad.
You ever have Limburger? Smells like a mixture of sweaty armpits and dirty crotches.
It's not for me.
maybe brie and the softer ones....manchego would be difficult. swiss may be a good fit.
