The more I play this game the more I love it. I'm loving just about all the new characters and moves in this game. I'm just flabbergasted, this game is such a giant leap in quality compared to the first hyrule warriors and I love the first game, its expansion, and 2 dlc passes. Like I'm now at the point where I really hope (even though it has a 0% chance of happening) that we get a season pass as packed as the last two. Plus an expansion that adds even more stuff
I think DLC is very likely, Astor and Sooga basically have full movesets, models and character portraits already and Purah and Robbie are likely too, plus the game has been a big success so I can't see them not continuing it
How do I make it so Zelda isn't horrible? Her moveset is kind of interesting but her combos are so sloooooow.
If animation speed is your problem you could combine a bunch of attack speed %+ buffs on her weapon, though this requires you to put her in your party a good amount.
Zelda's moves look cool, especially later on but she's awful to play imo, her animations are hard to dodge cancel and most of the time the damage isn't worth it bar one or two specific combos
Yeah, it's disappointing because I love her design, but the moveset isn't great for taking things down quickly.

the ending? It's a total retcon of BotW. I enjoyed it. It's nuts. But it's not exactly what I was lead to believe it was (a la FFVIIR), but it's a side story/spin-off so I'm ok with it. I really did enjoy it in the end, very addicting and fun.
This is one of the first Musous I like most characters, but ever since the mid way point I've used other characters besides Link, Impa and Urbosa less and less due to them not having as good equipment or levels. Feelsbadman but I like to focus on the better characters I have
The framerate is smoother in portable mode if that's your thing. Don't know about perf differences between the demo and the final game.
Demo misson is probably the worst example. It gets a bit better at the other stages but its never solid.
Its much smoother while Handheld tough.

The story is really really fun and epic, and the cutscenes are fantastic. Some of the best Nintendo (KT I guess?) ever produced.
If you were really, really hoping it would stick rigidly to what the memories in BotW showed for some reason then you may not like it, but if you're open to it being a bit different you'll probably like it.
I believe your reward pull at the end of each mission is bigger, but I'm not 100%.
I'm hoping they do (if the season pass is as good as the last two) and I'm also hoping they make the villain's free like they did with the last game. Just kinda at the point where I don't want this game to stop getting support haha. This is legit my favorite Warriors franchise
You can ignore the fort if you just focus on Purah and defeat Windblight. On normal difficulty, anyways.
Not that it matters too much but I was under the assumption the stables were a post-calamity structure?

I can't find Windblight, and Purah won't move. The Fort ends up falling in like...3 minutes :(
Escorts only stop if there's someone in their way. She should move if you clear out the bokoblins and Thunderblight in front of her. Windblight appears near her destination.
I swear I cleared out a big ol area but she refused to move from the lake/puddle thing in the middle of the map...ugh I wish i could change the difficulty to easy just for this mission, it's awful.
It's still really, really bad. It varies a bit based on area but is never really great.

At some point it doesn't make sense to split experience among characters. Since the training area is capped at your max level character, it makes more sense to power level your favorite and rupee train the others as needed.
So if I'm moving along through the main quest and all of a sudden I'm pretty underlevelled for a mission, is that the game's way of telling me to go grind for a bit?
Yes I think they are supposed to be, according to the BotW artbook. Not a huge deal though. I've noticed a few of the map side quests are little references to BotW side quests, even though we're 100 years early. It's kinda fun to look for them honestly.
I've tested a couple of story missions across difficulties, and there was no difference in rewards. Difficulty settings are just for bragging rights, thankfully.
You get access to higher-level versions of story missions in the post-game, if you want to grind for better gear.
Interesting I would think maybe you would get more rupees or something. I have been only playing Normal.
TBF, the rupees you get for completing a mission are a pittance compared to whaf you can get just from selling bokoblin parts!
Whatever you do, don't bring the
great fairies into the yiga hideout. They technically fit through the hallways but dear god does the camera struggle. And speaking of unlockable characters,
I hope Maz Koshia's unique ability BECOME MASSIVE turns into an expand dong style meme.

Just finished the game, just incredible... I'm shocked at how good the story is.
BTW how do you unlock the true ending? I had to rush the ending today due to college exams next week.

I BEAT IT HOLY SHIT. It literally took me 2 hours. I ended up restarting the battle because my checkpoint I had completely lost Thunderblight and Fort Hateno was on the verge of falling, so it sucked but whatever, I DID IT.
The Objectives reeeeeeally aren't clear in that mission at all. The Blights aren't highlighted, only Purah's destination, and they don't seem to really follow you, so it's easy to lose them and get confused as to what you're supposed to be doing - the big flashing reminder is "DEFEND FORT HATENO AT ALL COSTS" except if you do that, you're doomed to fail. I noticed the Divine Beast missions had a similar issue with confusing objectives. I hope that is the "worst" chapter, because damn that was painful.

I have been hoarding all material in case I need it to unlock something. I am sure I have way more Bokoblin parts than I need though.

What a freaking nightmare! What chapter are you on now? Have you experienced anything like that since? I think i have PTSD now lol
