IIRC a weapon from one of the other areas simplifies that fight a lot.
I still never played this. Absolutely getting the switch version when it hits. I'm looking forward to it!
Totally sold on this. Bought it on Steam the week of release, but never spent much time with it. Will definitely get this when it comes out for the Swtich.

Pretty much confirmed 60fps both by devs and by footage.

Platform exclusive content is always utter bullocks.
Love the game, but I really hope it's just timed because this kind of anti-consumer nonsense always sours my feelings towards developers slightly.

They did drop the Wii U release of the game when it was promised, so consider this reimbursement for us Nintendo fans.
How is this any different from the Shovel Knight platform-exclusive levels/characters? Nintendo didn't even get their own platform-exclusive level/character in the game!
I remember when I first played the game, I made the mistake of doing the northern zone first and got stomped hard by that boss. Obtaining the shotgun from the eastern zone made that fight much, much more manageable. That point blank damage, man.
I hate this crap. Bought the game on release and now they're releasing it again with additional content. It's no surprise a lot of potential buyers hold out nowadays and wait for discounts or "complete editions" down the road.
This. I don't own and will never own a Switch so I miss out, kind of irritating.
Still it is an awesome game so I hope it does well on the Switch anyway and new owners get to try it.
Bought it on steam and will get it again on switch due to the additional content. Good business sense to do so as I doubt I will double dip with no extra content

And in February of 2019, I broke down. I got that Switch. And the first eShop purchase I made... was for Hyper Light Drifter.
No regrets!!!!
