How old is your GMail account?

Fist ever email was a Hotmail account in 2005, I was in the 4th grade.

I still use it when I need to sign up for something, it's a total trash account now, filled with spam and promotional emails.

I use Gmail almost exclusively since like 2008

My hotmail account on the other hand was made in 2001.

I had one from the beta but deleted it quite a while ago, first name last name got hammered with spam which was way too much bother to control, seemed uncontrollable when I tried. So, it's lost forever since they don't recycle email addresses. Was good for a time but I don't need that noise and work to see which mail is genuinely for me.

6/12/2004. I have a six character login and get absolutely inundated with spam. I know they're a bit sketch, but Unroll.me is what keeps the account usable at all. I've literally removed my email from thousands of mailing lists.

I signed up for a Hotmail account within days of it being available. I lost it long, long ago. RIP [email protected].

Gmail was in beta and I was a freshman in college so it lined up perfect. Ended up making two accounts and using my stupid internet handle one for years, but I somehow had the foresight to get a plain one with my name that looks pretty professional.

Same! I remember getting it on the advice of a high school teacher--I'd need a more professional-looking email address for job applications. I figured what's more professional than my actual name?

Like some others, I used my real name, but I did first initial+last name. Outside of one person in particular who had been emailing me for almost 10 years and I keep saying it's not who she think it is, I've been good on my email.
