10 minutes. Enough time to make a smoothie, get my coffee ready, and brush my teeth.

I wake up up 7:50 and am generally out the door at 8:00.

I get up an hour and a half before I need to be at work. I like to eat breakfast and have a bit of leisure time before heading in. Commute's only 10 minutes, so I could easily get up much later, but I'd rather take the time to wake up, so to speak.

I need at least 30 minutes. I get up by 7:30 each day, leave by 8:00. The key for me has been going to bed by a certain time. Somewhere between 10-11pm has been the sweet spot.

After leaving bed (I never snooze), I spend exactly 30 minutes at home before leaving for work.

My standard was always one hour before heading out the door. But I'm so damn lazy nowadays that even that isn't enough time and I end up rushing out the door last minute having not even done the basics, or I sleep in and just give 15 minutes to throw clothes on and gather my things.

I get on my laptop straight away and work from home, then head off later so I can avoid that awful morning rush traffic.

I wake up at 5, and go to work at 8.

Plenty of time for my daily exercise, even a short session of video games.

I know it's a totally different culture out there, but I just can't imagine having such a lifestyle where you get up and go to work immediately.

Work starts 645 and is 15 minute drive and a 5-10 minute walk so I wake up at like 605
Usually I arrive right on the dot.

My alarm goes off at 7:00 and I usually hit snooze three times so I get up around 7:30, 20 minute shower, then rush to get dressed and out the door.

Work starts at 8:30, commute's around 15 minutes.

I've taken to setting my alarm an hour before work. That's ~30 minutes for breakfast, some light web browsing, and taking a leak/dump, ~20 minutes to shower and get dressed, ~10 minutes to get to work. The short commute is nice but easy to take for granted, and I've probably been a little late more often than I should when cutting it too close -- I should probably start tacking on another 15 minutes or so to account for the occasional morning sluggishness.

I can't imagine having to handle a 45+ minute commute with traffic making it tough to estimate the best time to leave.

If I have an early shift, which starts at 6, I usually get up around 4. If it is not too cold I go for a short run and then I like to bum around with my newspaper, drink coffee, make breakfast and so on. I don't like stress first thing in the morning so I always make sure I have ample time.

Generally 2 to 3 hours but I work nights. Soon my shift is changing to starting at 4am so I intend to wake up at 3am when that happens though.

wake up at 8, leaving at 8:50, get to work at 9.

I get up immediately, make coffee and maybe breakfast for me and the lady, in the shower by 8:30, out the door at 8:50.

I wish I could shower at night and not deal with it in the morning but it just doesn't work for me.

Well, my asshole boss has me on 3 opens and 3 closes a week. First 3 days of my week I open, last 3 I close.

I wake up about 10-15 minutes before I leave for my 20-30 minute commute, depending on traffic. It varries a lot since it's the only road that connects the two towns.

On the days I close, probably about 3-5 hours beforehand.
I used to have to close the kitchen after karaoke night Saturdays, and then be back for brunch cooking Sunday morning at 6:30 (or 5:30? Been a while). Such a nightmare.

Do you get up at the last possible minute and give yourself just enough time to shower, get dressed and start your commute? Or are you getting up 2.5 hours before work to workout or to enjoy breakfast and read the paper?

The first. I tend to sleep as long as possible before leaving for work. I start at 9 o' clock and sometimes I sleep til 8.15 and do everything in a hurry. Big benefit is my work is a 10 to 15 minute drive max. This year I'll be moving and the distance will be even shorter, so I'm gonna take the bike to work.

Also I don't tend to eat breakfast so my prep time for work is minimal usually.

I wake up at 5:00am and leave to work at 8:30am.

So I have 3 hours to spend as I wish. I stretch myself, study English, meditate, go for a run. When I come back I take a shower, read some magazines and take a 30 minutes nap. I wake up at 8:00am and I prepare the lunch and leave to work.

I go to bed at 10:00pm.

I live ~15 minutes from the Post Office, so I give myself one hour. Up at 7:00, leave at 7:45, office at 8:00, and on the route by 11 (closer to 9:30 this time of year).

I get up around 6:30, take a shower and eat breakfast before a short walk with the dog. I leave home around 7:10-7:20, take the subway and am usually at work around 8:00.

There is no way I could get up and leave within five minutes. That sounds terrible, even though I'm not a morning person.

Currently I wake up about an hour before work. I give myself around 30 minutes before I leave my home. Moving closer to my job was a big quality of life improvement.

I live a 5 minute walk away from my offices so, on the days I need to go in, I'll get up at about 7.45am and I'll be there for 9.00am

I'm normally awake early regardless and I'm not one for lie-ins.

If I start work at 9am I wake up at 8:50-8:55am. It's a hard commute to walk from my bed to my desk in my office in the other room lol.

Up at either 6:40 or 7 at the latest. Usually leave for work around 7:50am and get there for around 8:05-8:10am. Don't start 'til half past but I prefer to get in early rather than sit around the house.

Let's say I get up at ~9.30, 10 min in bed, 15 in shower, 10 to get ready, 25 min to work... so about an hour, give or take. If I oversleep, I can trim it down to 'bout half an hour, especially if I take Uber to work and not metro.

I get up at 6:00-6:30 and leave for work at 7:30. Plenty of time to have breakfast while watching something and then shower.
