With all this talk about SSDs and the future of PC gaming i was wondering how much RAM do you have in your current system and whether you are going to add anymore for next gen? I have 32gb ram and i feel pretty safe for next gen. I can't imagine most games requiring that much ram to run.

16 and it's way more than I really need.

Any of the shiny new stuff I play on console, and the PC only stuff I'm interested in doesn't tend to be that demanding.

8GB

Starting to feel it more and more. Need to upgrade but I also need a new Mobo.

Looking to get on that 32.

I have 32GB but honestly I just did that because I have Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB sticks and it looks cooler with four sticks as opposed to two

I get that that's the most first-world reason to upgrade but 🤷‍♂️

64gb, but only because some music production software gets crazy on RAM. It's still more than I need, but plenty of other composers use every bit of 64. Some even 128.

I have 16 GB of 3600 currently in my system, downclocked to 3200 because that's the max that my mobo can candle.

I've got another 16 Gb of 3200 lying around somewhere but I can never get around to installing it.

8GB. It's pretty obvious I need to upgrade.

Was trying out Call of Duty Warzone and my PC was really struggling with that game

I go with 16 GB of RAM and 8 GB of VRAM currently.
I'll probably aim to 32 GB of RAM at least when I will finally decide to buy a new PC and replace my current six-years-old one.

4 GB, because I just have my super-basic laptop and so, well, yeah. >.> Fortunately, I'm not interested in most AAA games, and as I've been working through my backlog, it's honestly impressive just how much stuff I've been able to get away with even on something like this. Definitely would appreciate more though, but is what it is.

16GB DDR3, upgraded from 8GB when it was built. Previous Q6600 system had 4GB DDR3 (one of those dual DDR2/DDR3 motherboards if I recall correctly). Will be 32 GB when I hopefully upgrade in winter.

4gb - but video takes up to 1.5 so under 3

its a macbook air [early 2014] so far its been good, but damn thing starts glitching like crazy with "heavy" use, like simple photo editing [dust/hair removal from negative scans] fak.

8gb in a system I built in 2016.

I've definitely been thinking of building a new PC again, it's starting to feel a bit sluggish in certain applications.

16gb might go to 32 in a year or so but nothing requires it at the moment. Really depends on what mobos that have pcie 4.0 come next year...

I've been on 16 for the longest time but the next upgrade I think I'll go 32.

I don't feel like 16 isn't enough but who knows next-gen. Maybe I'll start with 16 again and see.

Hopefully that rumour about 20GB with the Nvidia GPUs turns out true.

32GB RAM which I plan to upgrade to 64 by the end of the year, and 8GB VRAM. I will probably change the GPU when a couple of generations after the RDNA 2 is out.
