I put 3% of my salary into my organization's 403(b). Then I also put $300 a month into a savings account (about 8% of my take home salary). I probably need to shift this around a bit once life circumstances permit, but currently I need to have a better nest egg of on-hand cash.
$1,200-$1,500. I don't really get out as much as I should, so, that kinda helps me save a bit. I really need to start investing, but haven't a clue on where to begin.
$500/mo 401(k), $2K-4K/mo liquid savings between the wife and I. Building up a decent emergency fund and getting some house repairs done before we move more of that into retirement or other investments
It all goes into rent, phone, internet, medical, car, insurance, etc. I actually am short most of the time, if I lost my job I keep a gun in my house and that's my answer for that
My spreadsheet that I started last March is stating $1400. That is after the 6% 401k for company match. It's probably closer to $1000, since this includes reimbursement, vacation payout, and a meal penalty check.
I could save about $1000 or so but I am mostly irresponsible so I usually buy myself something every time I have that extra money in there. Or spend it on going out. I've gone hermit styles and could save upwards of $1400/month. But NOPE
~$600 per month for emergencies after bills and expenses, more or less depending on the time of year, utility bill cost, etc. That's mostly due to debts being paid off. Once those are out of the way, I'll be paying more into a 401K.
Although to be fair, I was keeping afloat the house with my jobless parents for 2 years, but he now found a very good job, and also I got a salary raise, so maybe next month I will start saving some money
