So, no game lists needed just wanted to ask a general question since it's next week.

This is my second Steam sale and I've put $100 aside.

Since the removal of cash payment options and a lot of regional pricing in Argentina, not a whole lot.
I did spend like 100 usd in a sale a couple years ago.

I'm in backlog mode, and I'd like to get Death Standing next month, so I don't think I'll spend all that much if anything. Used to spend more, but I'm trying to stick to buying games I intend to play immediately rather than getting a good deal. Plus, everything half decent will be offered for free or be bundled within like a year, the way things are going in the PC space. Wasted money too many times by buying games that I put off playing, and then they're offered for next to nothing eventually.

Probably $50-$100. Summer/winter sale is usually where I catch up all the smaller titles I think look cool and want to support but maybe won't play anytime soon.

Used to be a lot but I own so many damn games now I mostly have what I want. I think I haven't spent over $25 per sale for the past 5 years.

Though this sale might be different depending on the prices, I think with the quarantine and everything I have been a bit less pickier with my purchases.

Usually around 50-100. Depends on if I grab 5 or so smaller games or 2-3 bigger ones.

The steam sales are nothing like it used to be... I remember the frantic F5ing for two whole weeks when the next set of deals arrived/

No more than €30, usually. Not like in days past when I could fill a basket with multiple flash sale games at €7.50 each.

I haven't been buying as much on steam as of late. A lot of times the deals throughout the year on sites like fanatical are better.

$0

Not that I don't care about Steam, but I'm trying to get through games I already own and only buying when it's a title I absolutely have to play on launch.

Used to spend quite a bit, but since Valve eliminated flash sales we just aren't getting as good a deals as we once did. I'll peek in on day one, check the prices on my wish list and buy anything that I think I'll play any time soon or has an amazing deal. No point in even checking back after that as nothing changes.

Back when they had big bulk publisher deals, quite a bit.
These days I own the vast majority of what I want, but money isn't an issue during the sale if prices are good.

Few years back probably about 100 or so. Then last few years maybe 50 from a gift card my gf gets me every xmas. But now I don't spend much. I tell myself stop about 25-30. I have too many games as I am sure many of you have too many. Most I have never even installed once.

I don't have much time anymore. I usually buy like one or two things from these sales per year.

Maybe Dark Souls DLC this time around if it goes on sale? I never played the DS3 DLC.

Basically nothing the last couple of years, already own most of the games I want and I've stopped buying stuff on impulse.

Still barely scratched the massive BLM itch bundle so I'm probably not getting anything this time.

Don't PC game but I'll answer for my roommates since they do. One tends to spend around $50. The other sticks closer to $25.

Haven't bought anything from Steam in 3ish years. Too much free/subscription stuff. I think I spent $30 in one of the sales once which felt like a big purchase in its own weird way.

I think I will spend about 80 bucks this year. First time in a while I buy more then a single thing. Stocking up on vr games.

There should be a $0 option. I care about games on Steam and enjoy playing them there, but I don't plan on getting anything.

With the limited time I have to game now and older hardware, I just spend 100 at the summer and 100 at the winter and try to not buy anything that is not at least 75% off.

EDIT: This used to be real easy to do as almost everything was 75% off. In recent years the amount of games that get reduced over 75% is vastly smaller.

Usually maybe $30-50. Not sure if I will this year. been kind of spending that money on retro games, some of which were expensive.

I used to spend $80-100 when steam sales were good, now I barely get a $10 game or two and call it a day.

I usually spend around $50-$100 dollars. Outside of very specific circumstances I only buy PC games during steam summer and winter sales. So I take this as a chance to buy some really interesting games that have been on my wishlist for awhile to last me a few months.

When I was first starting my steam account I would go kinda nuts during the sales (up to $300) and now the last couple years the sales haven't really been the same so unless they have something ridiculously inexpensive I'll get it. If not I'll just wait for humble bundle, gmg, or fanatical to save even more.

Sale or not, I usually can find the games cheaper elsewhere. Perhaps that rumored "loyalty program" will change that if it comes out for this sale.

I use gg.deals daily, so its not that big of a thing for me. I just look forward to it for games where its the only place to get a steam key.

0.

Saving money for new PC parts + new consoles isn't easy in those trying times.
