How many NieR Automata achievements / trophies did you buy?

Maybe spoilers below?

If any, that is. I think I ended up buying 5 or 6 to get them all. Kill enemies in Berserk mode since I barely used it with A2, collect 100 bodies, the 2b skirt one, and kill friendly machine lifeforms one. Looking at the Steam global achievements stats, I'm kind of surprised how many people did the 100 bodies one.

I think it was over half of them, lol. Definitely my favorite trophy/achievement ever!

One fun thing about it is how the Playstation takes that screen grab, and all the pics are of that menu!

You have to get through ending C/D before they're available, Iirc, so if you "beat" the game once or twice then they still wouldn't be available.

For those wondering it's the girl with the machine head in the resistance camp after your third playthrough. You can buy all except the ending E one I think. Easy enough to miss since she just has tutorial info normally so you probably wouldn't be talking to her at that point.

After you get ending C or D, it gives you a note that a NPC has something to talk to you about. Most people just move on to the other ending and get E, but if you travel back to the Camp and talk to the lady with the Machine Head, she sells them.

I don't consider the option to buy trophies a spoiler (I think this forum has even talked about this in thread titles before) but the minor amount of info in the OP might be. Well, it isn't, but I know how rabid some people are about spoilers. "There's a character named A2??? ugh not bothering anymore"

You do but even then you can't buy the ending E one. No way it's faster to plat it normally though since a ton of those are time consuming. 80% of unit data, archives, upgrading all weapons, leveling up enough so you can beat a spoilery boss, etc.

I got several achievements on my own but it got to a point where I didn't want to have to grind to get the final ending that requires you to get and upgrade all weapons. I was like level 60 and the final boss was much higher Eventually I just said "eh fuck it" and bought the rest of them

I uninstalled it as soon as I finished the Route E. That game didn't deserve another second of my time.

Definitely quite a lot. I loved that it was an option! You still had to have enough currency to do it. I actually had to grind out the currency for the plat.

Also I bought 10 or so, some of the more annoying ones.

I did do the All Endings, and thus the max all weapons stuff legit.

Just two or three I think, probably the ones for upgrading all pods and weapons since I think I remember that being really grindy, and maybe the fishing one? Looking over the trophy list I don't remember anything else being especially hard.

None, because I was able to do them legit.

It'd be cool to have this feature in other games though, at the very least for online-only achievements for games with dead communities.

I think I bought one just for kicks, but I don't remember. I think if I were to pick it back up again someday, I'll buy them. It's built into the game, so it's not cheating and it definitely beats grinding/cheesing.
