I am curious to see how everyone's next gen collections are stacking up so far. This can include console exclusives/next-gen exclusives, but also cross gen games that you bought specifically to play on a next gen system. I only have a PS5, but so far I bought:

MGS Peace Walker HD (Currently playing)

All last, last last, or last last last gen games.

Edit: Mistook the word bought for played. Out of the above, the only game I bought was DA Inquisition. Everything else is GamePass, PS Now or PS+.

Immortals Fenyx Rising and I guess Yakuza: Like a Dragon which I started on PC but switched to Xbox as soon as I got one.

And speaking of PC, if it's included, then Cyberpunk 2077.

I got Cyberpunk 2077as well, but I still see it as a Xbox One title until that next-gen update comes out.

Miles Morales. I'll pick up Demon's Souls sooner or later, but that's all regarding "proper" next gen games. I frankly don't even know what or when the next game will be.

last week I bought assassins creed Valhalla on deal.
I already had bought fifa21 on release date, so I got the free upgrade.

Those are the only games I can think of at the moment. I have messed around with a bunch of games that were updated for the Series X though like Destiny 2, Rainbow Six Siege, and Gears 5.

  • ...Ghost of Tsushima (bought because of the huge update it got for PS5)
Nothing major on the near horizon so my wife got me 13 Sentinels and I have preordered Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Nier Replicant which aren't really all that "next-Gen"

Once I get my hands on Yakuza 7 and Maneater (thanks PS+!), I'll have just about every launch title that I care about. Also, it's worth noting that most of these were free upgrades from games I already owned, acquired using the money I got when I sold off my Xbox One X and Pro, or through Game Pass and PS+. The list may sound expensive, but I probably spent less than $350 this year for next-gen launch titles across both platforms.

Demons Souls, Miles Morales and Yakuza for XSX.

None of them look next gen to me. Yakuza doesn't at all and I have no idea what the enhanced version offers over the normal as the big res mode runs at 30fps when the normal runs at 60fps and looks better to me.
