600 Mbps down, 20 Mbps upload. But I have a data cap of 1 TB a month so I can't download too much. Also, the upload rate used to be 8-10 Mbps for so long, Xfinity finally doubled upload speed lol.

where is this travesty?

Third world.

(I actually checked to see what's nearby - it turns out this provider offers 10 mbps for $50/month two minutes up the road from me, but buildings across from street from those only have 3 mbps for $50/month. Four minutes up the road and they're offering 40 mbps for a promotional price of $50/month even though the regular price is $55/month)

Wow. There are some eye popping numbers in here. I'm stuck on ~11 Mbps / ~1Mbps for £25/month.

Fibre to premises has just recently become available where we are. We can currently top out at 300 Mbs / 50 Mbps at a cost of £50/month. Tempted, if for no other reason than for not having to plan ahead a couple of days whenever I want to download a chunky game.

Well, when you live in an area where comcast is your only decent option, it can be really crappy compared to what you can get in others. I also have a comcast plan of 150 Mbps down that will double (or more) in price a few months later because that's when my new customer pricing ends and I would also classify that as shitty, especially with their 1 TB data cap. Doesn't help that there's a competing isp offering 500 Mbps down/up fiber plan for $40 with no cap that seems to be just around the corner but doesn't cover my address.

Of course, this all felt like an amazing upgrade compared to what I was getting back when I still lived in the Philippines, where we were paying the equivalent of like 40 - 50 usd for a 2 Mbps connection (we were also doing like $70 for 512 Kbps many more years ago lol). I think it's still like that today in our area in the Philippines.

FTTH

1000 mbit down, 1000 mbit up

live in Hungary, paying around $20 a month. The 2gbit download service would cost 30, but honestly I find 1 gbit more than enough as is.

Bogotá D.C.
Bogota, Colombia (ETB)

12Mbps Down/6Mbps Up for about 30usd (there are better plans like 120/60 for 40usd or 300/150 for 60, but is on an area basis, can't afford living in a zone with FTTH coverage).

Hoping that the new administration put some work on the public ISP and upgrade speeds for everyone.

People, please learn that m vs M, b vs B mean different things. Please use the correct measurements. Thank you.

500/500, no cap
FL, USA
Frontier FIOS
$50/month

I could get 1000/1000 but the increase in price isn't worth it to me at all. I'm 100% happy with this speed.

Shitty 8 down 1 up in rural France.

The good news is that they have just started installing FTTH in my village last week. Should be finished by the end of the month.

Hello 1gig fibre afterwards.

France has invested massively in FTTH the last few years.

That sucks, I'm in rural France too and we get 80 down and 20 up but our village hasn't been upgraded yet. We lucked out.

300/300 on fiber. I'd consider gigabit but everything is over WiFi and I'd be unlikely to get much faster speed in practice.

Recently got mine doubled at no cost.
200 download /11 upload on Spectrum $45.99 going on my 2nd year now.

I didnt realize for a long time I had a cheap router that barely reached 80 mbps since the router only did 100 on wired.

Checked offerup and got me a $200 modem for $90.
Now I get 200+ on downloads.

I'm disappointed in my upload speed. But in a contract now and will look around next year. But not much competition in my area
