I get 3.5 Mbps download / 1 Mbps upload

Trying to download Red Dead Redemption 2 right now. 69.68GB of 112GB downloaded thus far and I've still got like 40 hours more of downloading until it's finished ):

(Before you ask, it's the fastest Internet plan in my area)

What about you?

Damn, that's rough. I don't think I could deal with speeds that poor.

Mine is about 150/10. Hate that my upload speed is so low.

I have gigabit internet but I fucking hate wires going around my house so I wire my PS4 to a mesh network node thing.

I get around 180 up and 300 down at my PS4.

At college? Gigabit.
At home? 2.8mbps down and 0.9mbps up. This is Verizon DSL for the record and was the best ever offered in my area (rural Virginia).

I pay for 1gbps fiber. Up in my room where my PC is this is what I'm pulling over wireless. It does go faster.

I'm at 100/10. Sadly I can't get anything decent from my current provider - part of the price of living in the third world I guess.

100/100

I download most games from most launchers at a speed of 10-11mb/s which is fast enough for me.

I've upgraded from 15/1 to 240/120 like 3 months ago (and it's actually cheaper than the 15 was), pretty nice upgrade for downloading games,
if you convert to USD it's like $20 or something, and there is no data cap for the moment.

US, main line is 1gbps up/down fiber from att (real fiber, so fiber from line all the way to ONT). Bypass their gateway with my UniFi setup.

Backup line is 1gbps from xfinity (1gig down, like 50mbps up lol).

work pays for backup line. Otherwise I wouldn't have it.

220/22 for 41€.

Could have gotten 320/32 for 60 but i´m good and 40 is about as much as i´m willing to pay for internet in general.

Fiber, so 1000/1000. Spoiled by it now and won't consider a location that doesn't have fiber now.

Same as you OP around 400KB/s download. I've been downloading Destiny 2 non stop since thursday night. There's one hour left.

Saw they just installed fiber in my building last week. Pain's over soon !

I pay for 300Mbps both ways from AT&T, but Speedtest usually turns in about 200-250Mbps download and 150-200Mbps upload.

Internal diagnostics on the modem say it's getting the full 300Mbps though, so I'm guessing it's probably my wireless setup hindering me in some way, and I honestly don't even have anything with an ethernet port on it I could plug in and test to see if a wired connection fares better.

I'm honestly fine with it coming in under 300Mbps though, as I signed up for 100/100 last November and after that promotional period ended I was able to somehow upgrade to 300/300 for the same price. Weird. Either one is overkill for my needs though.

Shitty 8 down 1 up in rural France.

The good news is that they have just started installing FTTH in my village last week. Should be finished by the end of the month.

Hello 1gig fibre afterwards.

France has invested massively in FTTH the last few years.

Does it cost the ISP more to give you a faster line? Eg if you download 100GB for a game at 10/100/1000mb/s dies it cost them more for faster? Or is there a case that you getting off their network faster keeps congestion down?
