How do upload speed, download speed & ping affect cloud gaming?

I am in software development, but not super knowledgable about network latency and serving up cloud-based video games.

Does anyone here know how each factor affects cloud gaming performance?

From what I understand:

-Download speed directly impacts IQ & resolution

-Ping directly impacts responsiveness & framerate

-Upload speed seems largely irrelevant after a very low cap where responsiveness may be affected

That's just based off my gut, anyone know for certain?

ping won't be affect framerate, it's more likely to be bandwidth related

Ping should only affect inputs not frame rate. Aside from that you pretty much got it.

You've also got connection jitter which impacts both the latency and framerate
