Claims of a trailer existing and random speculation as to when it could drop?
it's a mindshare/marketing thing, it's not a zero sum game of "overshadowing"dont want to overshadow "some card and board games" with "zelda," clearly they have the same target demo and people would choose to not purchase one because of the other which won't be out for like a year
I put it somewhere different. It's like... as much as a lot of us are legit looking forward to Clubhouse Games (myself included) that game is the prime definition of Nintendo's "evergreen titles." It's not a media moment in time, there won't be a lot of zeitgeist. It'll be a game where, if you want to play solitaire, poker, chinese checkers, whatever the fuck "hare and hounds" is, etc, on a Switch? There you go. It's going to be the game parents buy for their families pre-road trip.Basically this, I get not showing off BOTW2 around Xenoblade release but Clubhouse games isn't some massive AAA title or anything.
I put it at the same level as Sushie Striker, but a little bigger.
from a marketing perspective, Nintendo wants to occupy people's minds as much as possible for as long as possible. there's no reason to drop a huge announcement in the (and I cannot stress it enough) single week between two first party game launchesI put it somewhere different. Then why did they even tweet about Paper Mario earlier? I get what you're saying, they want to point people at the thing they can spend money on right now. That makes total sense. But you have to keep in mind that, at this point next week, we're back to the "nintendoomed" position of having a single first party Nintendo game with a date. They really could use something to be like "yes, Zelda is coming this year/early next year" or something like that.from a marketing perspective, Nintendo wants to occupy people's minds as much as possible for as long as possible. there's no reason to drop a huge announcement in the (and I cannot stress it enough) single week between two first party game launches

Jep. Its simple: they dont get anything by doing it in the moment clubhouse games releases. Or, they could be cheeky, and put a plug for clubhouse games infront of the trailer. Not as an add. As an intro trailer.from a marketing perspective, Nintendo wants to occupy people's minds as much as possible for as long as possible. there's no reason to drop a huge announcement in the (and I cannot stress it enough) single week between two first party game launches
I think recent events have suggested they're comfortable with this status quo for now. Once there's one game on the horizon, a new one gets announced for a few months out. Then why did they even tweet about Paper Mario earlier? mmmmmm basically lol
Though framed as a "scoop"
Then Jeff Grubb (either jokingly or not, hard to tell) said that he believes in this person as a source.
Cue community hype and expectation

look, one game is the sequel to one of the greatest games of all time and is going to give you hours and hours of gameplay, with unique environments and mechanicsI'm legit going to have to cancel my Clubhouse games pre-order if a BOTW2 trailer is shown.
WellWhy are people expecting anything when this account hasn't gotten anything right? lol
Dont know if sarcastic, but depending when it will release, some maybe think "yeah, need to keep that money for zelda"I'm legit going to have to cancel my Clubhouse games pre-order if a BOTW2 trailer is shown.

I wasnt criticising you or something =DLOL sorry yes I was being sarcastic. I really don't think the release of Clubhouse games has anything to do with Nintendo's announcement strategy.
If an even decently-big game (MPT, Mario Collection) is coming in August-October, announcing them anytime makes sense. Remember, we basically have ZERO announced Switch releases for 2020 past Paper Mario. It's time.
I know it's technically a good score, but it surprises me to see that Pokémon didn't get a 7. I can understand it for Steam even if I really enjoyed it.One of my sources tells me its a remake of one of these 3 3DS games:

Between now and neverSo do we think it will happen in 24 minutes or more like in the next 24 hours?!

Cmon bro - lol. Grubb just got the PS5 event weeks ago. This ain't gonna put his reputation on the lineSo basically Grubb is putting his reputation on the line here by trusting this leaker. Interesting.
It's a funnier narrative this way, like people don't actually believe this person, we just want an excuse to hype over fake news.yea...
wondering why everyone keeps saying "she" as if it's not some random guy lol.
like those "real" dating profiles that are clearly women

Era decided that Sabi was a she just because they were wearing a Rei Ayanami avatar, so it's not surprising (and then Sabi later even said he is a he but it didn't stop Era from calling Sabi a she lol)yea...
