It is very possible that the covid has affected more games prepared for 2021 than 2020.

If you add to that the typical delays of all the years ...

PD: Fuck Rowling.

Disappointing but I'm happy to wait. What they showed looked incredible and I'm super looking forward to it.

We only got 13 days into 2021 before getting a game delay. Pretty impressive.

Sucks, but if the delays allows them to polish it to a good state than I'm fine with waiting.

What I find odd is, that they didn't even waited a few months into 2021, they just straight up delayed it. That means this game is still has a long to go.

Game was probably scheduled for like Q3 2021 when development started or something like that and with Covid being a thing they knew that ain't happening so no point in drawing out that delay announcement

My guessis, that games that had 2020 releases were already completed ( not Cyberpunk), it was just the marketing and production of physical media that was thrown into disarray. Games that are still in deep dev time, are the one that got hurt.

Good. Hope that gives them time to ditch Rowling.

I know it can't happen but it's what she deserves.

At least it would be cool of them to include positive trans and LGBT characters.

Wouldn't it be funny if everyone started to delay their games after the whole CDPR fiasco

Yes, without having the sources that Jason has (of course), I expect a lot of delays this year. It's normal.

I'm worried 2021 will be a light year.. Covid19 has probably delayed many games.

Sure, but they could've waited a few months, release a trailer and announce the delay there.

I keep forgetting what year it is. I read that headline and thought "two years away". Either way, fuck JKR.

No surprises here, COVID has really fucked up every game development pipeline and the reaction to Cyberpunk's array of bugs will no doubt have tipped every publisher into being sure the game is ready/they won't get sued before releasing.
