I didn't realize that was any Serkis as the lead Yule Boy but it should have been obvious. Its very much a character he'd play. That entire episode was great and brought me some serious "Naughty" vibes reminiscent of the classic Courage the Coward Dog episode with the creepy barber. Oh and the ogress was some straight up horror movie stuff.
Yeah. According to Wikipedia and the Hilda Wiki. A 70 minute special.

I finished watching season two. I must say I'm thoroughly impressed. I really liked the music this season and how there are at least one featured song per episode. It was very neat. The pacing was noticeably different than season 1, with each episode a bit less self-contained than before, but it made for some wonderful moments.
A note about the ending:
Not sure about that cliffhanger, though. As nothing was confirmed about a third season ā and even if we get one, when will it drop, in two/three years? ā I don't think it was necessary. I think it would have been better to end the season with an open ending instead of a full-blown cliffhanger like that. But it's a very small complaint.
One think I absolutely LOVE about this show is how women are present in every aspect of society. Doesn't matter what kind of group they're showing you ā pirates, vikings, sailors, guards... ā each time there are capable women in these groups and it's not a big deal. It's never questioned or highlighted, it's just normal. If I had a young daughter this is exactly the kind of show I would introduce her to. Well done!
There is a movie coming out next from what people have been saying.
Likely, from what we know of it, it's called "Hilda and the Mountain King" which is the graphic novel that directly proceeds after Hilda and the Stone Forest.Hmm... I wonder if it will pick up immediately after the events of season 2.
I did and it's fantastic! Only missing one thingWill there be a season 3? The movie gives kind of a sweet conclusion to Hilda's main "conflict", which is her coming to terms with living in Trollberg while still needing/loving the wilderness. I want more Hilda, but if there isn't more I'm at least happy with the way it's tied up.Wood Man.
There will be a season 3 but it's the last one.
Does certainly feel like this movie was made as a potential finale though. Curious to see where they take the final season of Hilda.
