The whole "KOJIMA IS A PUNISHED GAMING GOD AND ALSO MY BEST FRIEND LET'S FOREVER CELEBRATE HIS GAMES" part of past TGAs has been really embarassing. If they skip that for a change, I'm happy. If they want to show the game (gameplay, possibly) I'm all up for it, but given they'll have a ton of major guests this year I sure hope they're not planning to handle everyone as generic guests and Kojima as some kind of alien god or something again.

Given your note and to avoid headline confusion on what is confirmed/isn't, I amended the thread title a bit.
Maybe Kojima not being at the TGA for once was the surprise he talked about earlier this year???
I guess he could have sent a trailer (would be honestly surprised if he didn't), but I wouldn't expect something big or a release/target date like some people were speculating.

It's just speculation, but the last times there was a trailer Kojima was present. Just to say that maybe people shouldn't take a new DS trailer as a guarantee.

I don't buy it. Even if he isn't there, there's no way Death Stranding wont be. Love seeing him on stage, though. Hope he's trolling.
