Spider-Man. Some of pics I've seen are just unreal. I grew up with Spider-Man looking like a red/blue Pitfall Harry.
It's more on the few moments, like seeing the Thunderbird's wings glistening in the moonlight without shimmering, or fighting crazy amounts of machines at once with no apparent framedrops. Some of the battles you can get into is pretty crazy.Horizon looks great, but there are many apparent sacrafices they had to make to get it to look that good. Such as foliage and water interactivity, and some pretty agreesive pop in. I think red dead was ultimatley more impressive for A.) being native 4k on xbox one x console hard ware, and B.) its sacrafices to achieve this dont seem nearly as big as horizons. I even think it looks just as good if not better than horizon in all cases
If Death Stranding isn't the peak currently, I know for damn sure it isn't Shadow of the Tomb RaiderI don't really think so, it is a good looking game, but i don't think it is a benchmark or anything, honestly.
Anyway, Shadow of the Tomb Raider impressed me a lot on base PS4. the natural world is breathtaking and characters models are great.

I wouldn't call PS2 exactly a piece of shit of hardware, at least at launch.Having worked on the PS2 and knowing first hand how much of a PIECE OF SHIT it was, Final Fantasy XII was MINDBLOWING as a fellow game developer. Like, oh my god how did they manage, it seemed impossible.
I agree. So much that I didn't invest money in PS4, Xbox One or PC. Handhelds only... they are amazing!Yes:
Killzone Mercenaries, UvMC3, and MK9 on the Vita, and BotW and Super Mario Odyssey in handheld mode on the Switch.
Handhelds fucking blew my mind this generation.
Game of the Century for me. Nothing short of mind-blowing.Horizon Zero Dawn is the most technically impressive title of this generation, often times artistically as well.
Agreed.Horizon Zero Dawn is the most technically impressive title of this generation, often times artistically as well.
9 years later, and I'm still blown away at the graphics. Fantastic art direction, use of camera angles, and the fact that it runs at a framerate higher than 30 on a PS3 is incredible.

Not in the fillrate and in the bandwidth. And considered it was the more dated hardware of the 3, it's really an illogical comparison. PS2 wasn't exactly a bad hardware when it was launched on the market.
