I agree that for long shot, when I someone being one shot from across the map, the Commando is quite the best weapon, but this use case isn't worth picking it up against, idk, a BR combo with a Bulldog or an AR actually (I mean because I play 98% of my game in Ranked).
The Commando is definitely the most "have to be in the ideal situation" precision weapon in the game. But when you are in those situations, it's probably THE best gun to have.
The situations being shieldess players at longer mid-range, mid-range teamshooting in Ranked especially (balcony to balcony in Bazaar, shooting to/from top mid on Aquarius, the top sightlines on Recharge, controlling nest on Live Wire), and unloading on people running at you from shorter mid-range.
Idk, it's hard to describe. But there's just these situations where it feels so good to be holding, but those situations are very specific and kind of rare game-to-game.
For a precision weapon, the player has to be very mindful of how they are going to use it and position accordingly. Almost as much as they would for a power weapon like the sword/rockets/sniper, even if it clearly doesn't have the same amount of game changing power as those lol.
