Yeah, they could bring back the Didact. Chief when talking to hood after the comic event (I know, not a great comic either), stressed that the Didact was: "Contained" and not "Killed".
Shame this stuff wasn't ready for Outpost Discovery, I'd have preferred the helmet and sword over the Halo 5 designs.

Not saying that this is a 100% confirmation and I also don't really believe it, but they have done way crazier things than this already.
There's also a Kat figure as well. It's likely just for extra sales since Reach in MCC

As with most franchises that have extended universe stuff, he went on a long, convoluted journey, haha.
It kind of makes sense for 3 way conflict- Cortana + AI v Didact + Knights for the mantle v Chief + earth forces + swords of sanghelios

The left display has the Halo: Infinite branding everywhere, which the right display doesn't seem to have.
