Yea, especially when some of them cost a ton of ambrosia. Should give their item a 4th tier to work towards or something. It kinda sucks you get nothing out of fully bonding with some people. You'd think you have some kind of permanent discount with Charon at least.

Spending resources to force certain rooms/characters to spawn during a run would've been nice, specially since after a few hours darkness and keys become throwaway currencies. While I can't come up with a necessarily better way to do this, I feel like this side of the progression is a bit half-baked.
Wouldn't make a lot of sense in the current state. Not saying I like it but those resources become useless when it comes to meaningful upgrades. But there is stuff to spend it on. You need 360k Darkness if you want all the titles. It costs other stuff too on top of darkness like keys, depending on which rank.Spending resources to force certain rooms/characters to spawn during a run would've been nice, specially since after a few hours darkness and keys become throwaway currencies.
Having more than one resource sink isn't what I call "not making sense", specially having one that stops people from doing death runs (something that is much more nonsensical) or from dropping the narrative because of RNG fuckery.Wouldn't make a lot of sense in the current state. That one is scripted - they give it to you soon after getting the rod to get you used to the mechanic.
Can't be that soon, I've had the rod for like 15-20 runsThat one is scripted - they give it to you soon after getting the rod to get you used to the mechanic.
Oh really? Must be random when it occurs, but receiving it at the start without any other choices is scripted.

Yeah but all those fish thoYeah, figured. Just cracked me up because I just choked against the final boss with like 15% hp left.
10 hours played and can't get past boss number 3. Any advice friends?

Always target Asterius first. Theseus always gets his buff at half health regardless of whether Asterius has been defeated or not, so always focus Asterius first. As you're focusing Asterius, use the pillars in the arena to dodge Theseus' spear. Once Asterius is down, keep using the pillars to avoid Theseus' spear and get in as much damage as you can. As long as you're somewhat patient in this, you'll always be able to win it. Took me quite some time to beat it as well, so no worries.
No, but you can grind for more if you really need it.I didn't know how weapon upgrades worked and spent my blood wrong, can that be reset? :(

Ah ok. So I have to beat the game 10 times correct?
Yeah, then do a couple more runs + talking to him to get the keepsake.
God mode gives you 20% extra defense. It works like a boon you have equipped. The boon gains an additional 2% every time you get a game over. It's not retroactive. If you disable it it's as if nothing had happened, you go back to your regular game. (it will remember whatever gains it made while you had it equipped though if you enable god mode again).I play the games for 20+ hrs and I've watched the credits roll. I love everything about the standard mode but I'm super curious about God Mode after reason an article about it.
If I turn the setting on, will I have start on the resistance from scratch or will it take into consideration my existing death count? And if I turn it off, will everything go back to normal or will it overwrite the default stats but just not add more resistance points upon further deaths?
It's really crazy how much alternate dialogue there is in the game. I've consistently rejected Artemis when there are two boons to pick up and she has said a completely different thing to me each time. In fact last time she was all like "oh I'm used to your bullshit now!" lol.
I guess you have a point there, but the amount of work that went into this is still astounding. How do you think a game with this graphics style and amount of maps manages to be 15gb or whatever? It's all audio files.
I was kind of bummed when the narration after you beat Hades started to repeat. I think it took about 40 clears.
Ah, got it! I guess I have to build the resistance. I suck at the gun, so maybe I'll make it gun exclusive.God mode gives you 20% extra defense. It works like a boon you have equipped.
