Keep thinking he can't get any more gross until he does.

What's next? Offering to hire a taxidermist to stuff someone's dead daughter so she'll always be with them?

Trump is a narcissistic sociopath. He literally doesn't care that their child died, and thinks it's no big deal. He's such a shitty person, he wanted to benefit off it himself with a photo op, lool. This was totally his idea, and they're trying to blame that Brian guy. And fuck that disgusting woman for running away from the UK. What an infuriating situation. I hope the next admin deports her asap.

Sociopath, that's the only explanation.

"Welcome to the White House... would you like to meet your son's murderer that we're protecting from justice?"

A narcissist who has no sympathy for others tries to stage a "feel good" publicity stunt for the sake of "LOOK HOW GREAT I AM!" and falls flat on his face.

Who knew

I commend them for have the self control to not knock him out.
Seriously. I have a kid, and when you think about this sequence of events:
  1. Piece of shit killed your kid with a car and flees the country to escape justice.
  2. You have to go to that country to demand justice.
  3. You get contacted by the government and told that they'll talk to you about your problem.
  4. Instead of a talk, you get jumped with cameras, and then the murderer of your kid gets paraded in front of you in some dipshit reality tv drama move.
It would be completely and totally understandable to want to beat the living shit out of multiple morons at the white house who set this up, and your child's murderer.

"We've said all along we are willing to meet her, but it has to be with therapists and mediators. And that's not just for us; it's for her as well," said Charles, the mother. "To be thrown into a room together with no prior warning, that's not good for her mental health, and it's certainly not good for ours."

"There was a bit of pressure, but we stuck to our guns," added Dunn, the father, explaining that Trump asked them two or three times to meet with Sacoolas.

Why does this remind me of an episode of "This is your life"
"sadly you lost your son in a tragic accident several weeks ago."
"Yes it was terrible."
"And as we know the killer fled to America under diplomatic immunity."
"Yes."
"And you haven't seen her since. Well, we have flown you here tonight to meet her for the first time!"
Theme tune plays and out she comes. There are tears and hugs and kisses.
"Oh thank you Mr Trump!"
Donald waves at the camera "Well that's all we have time for tonight!"

It would probably be something as hideous as this...

Holy shit. I work in restorative justice and these kinds of victim/offender meetings take a long time to happen, when they even happen at all. One of the chief requirement is the offender accepting responsibility for the harm caused and having an interest in making things right. And even then the people who were harmed still have to agree. And there are tons of prep meetings that happen before any face to face to ensure that no additional harm is caused. The fuck were they thinking??? How did no one tell them this was not going to end well?

The Trump administration becomes a lot easier to understand if you just come to accept that the human concept of empathy is literally absent from these creatures.

Traffic accidents make someone a killer now?

That's not what killer means. This was a shitty, stupid thing to try to do, but can we be realistic about that aspect?

How big of a piece of shit detached from your humanity do you have to be to look at someone getting away with a crime, fleeing justice, protecting the killer from having their day in court, for no real reason other than to spite the UK and then try to make a reality TV drama out of it in a disgusting attempt to win PR points to improve your poisonous image?

Trump has proven time and again that he is driven by one thing and one thing only. His ego.
He doesn't care about the United States. He doesn't care about the rest of the world. He doesn't care about people other than his immediate family.
Every decision made is done because it will help him politically or he thinks he will get credit and make himself look better. All that matters is how he and the Trump brand is perceived.
This incident is no different. He tried to pull this stunt not because he thought he was helping that family. He did it because if it worked he would gain points for mediating and diffusing what has become an international incident with an ally. Plus he would have a "win" to distract from impeachment. That's all.
Fuck this guy.

Considering she shirked all responsibility, fled the scene of the accident and is avoiding justice... Killer seems a perfectly fine description. She's certainly bereft of any human decency. Monster would be another good description.

It's technically correct. She took someone's life aka she killed someone thus that makes her a killer. Being an accident doesn't change that.

That and it is perfectly reasonable for the family to think of the person as a killer. They literally killed their kid.

With the logic that poster used, a drunk driver isn't a killer either when they get in an accident and kill somebody.

Yet what is being done about it? Almost nothing. Impeach his ass, DO SOMETHING! He carries on because he feels untouchable, and right now he proved it's true. The only place where he should be is behind bars for the remaining of his life.

Allow me to play a tune on my tiny violin for the woman who is being unfairly characterized as "a killer" after she killed a young man by driving on the wrong side of the road and then fled the country before the event was investigated.
