I'd be pretty surprised if they went anywhere near Hal.
Knowing who to hire is a underrated skillEventually, they'll hire a Feige-esque producer who has the intelligence to get a group of writers and directors together, show them a reel of clips from the 90s DCAU and say, "We're going to do this. But in live action."
What show is Cyborg on?Flash and Cyborg are also in TV-land, and Superman will join them soon as well...
Hal is the one DC is currently pushing as the main Green Lantern, so I would be surprised if they went with anyone other than him.
Why?I really hope no one expects a Disney+ budget for this.
It will absolutely be higher than The CW for obvious reasons but if you're expecting what Disney is planning for MCU and Star Wars on Disney+, step back a bit. Haha.
Damn, this could be crazy.
Yeah, this. Doom Patrol is one of the best shows of this decade, it's absolutely incredible.
EDIT: So this and the Superman & Lois show absolutely confirms the leak from last week by the dude who knows everything about Titans on Reddit. For those of you who can't enter, the leak is:
Superman IV was so bad had Superman stuck just on tv for nearly 20 years.
I still find it pretty amusing that The Joker was once SuperboySuperman IV was so bad had Superman stuck just on tv for nearly 20 years.
Superboy 88-92
Lois and Clark 93-97
Superman TAS 96-00
Smallville 01-11
This, please god this

Have you seen Doom Patrol? If it's not on CW and has no ties to any CW show it's not going to be "CW style".Another corny ass cw style show smh. Tho i imagine the budget will be higher for this one
While not quite as good as those two shows, Black Lightning's pretty great too.
Riiight. "Those don't count because reasons." List wars logic strikes again.I think those ended up good despite Berlanti and because of the main staff involved. So hopefully its a similar situation with Lantern.
We have seen Berlanti's Green Lantern script, general opinion is that it would have been amazing. From the guy who gave us the Green Lantern movie and the Arrowverse.

Preferably Earth-90 John Stewart. David Ramsey needs a job.
Don't even know the budget and there's already budget complaints.
At the very least you will see DCU budget. I'd probably go with the swamp thing budget because it's a pet project from the guy that is the heart of dc tv. From what I've seen, i have faith that he can pull it off. Besides since it's being tethered to hbomax, they should have more to work with. It's an HBO TV show about a c-list character that had an unintentionally hilarious bomb within recent memory. I am not trying to be testy but I don't think it's a stretch to assume HBO/Warner isn't planning to throw money at this thing if it gets off the ground.
Horrible idea. Green Lantern is not easy to adapt and demands a huge budget to even be good. And they're going to space with it? From the arrowverse guy? Not expecting anything good to come out of it but would be glad if they proved me wrong
Well, first of all it's an HBOMAX original, not and HBO show(there's a difference). And with how much money Disney is spending on Star Wars and Marvel shows, I don't think we have to worry about budget problems anymore. It's an HBO TV show about a c-list character that had an unintentionally hilarious bomb within recent memory. Doom Patrol costs 11 mil an episode to make. I'd guess the GL show will be similar.
