Uh...grey is the only one that I'll buy because it's the only one that doesn't look gaudy or shitty.
This sucks.
I'm hoping for this as well.I hope this means they are stopping production to "fix" the structural issue that causes joy-con drift. I hope it DOESN'T mean they will no longer offer these color variants period.
That's disgusting
Just get a split pad pro. It's not pretty, but it's pretty damn excellent.Actual analog sticks instead of these weird nubs, a real d-pad on the left controller, and a slightly larger build so they have a more natural grip. These things are a terror on the wrists.
Lol. Guess I can't judge. I was in love with this guy
I already have. They're great, but not quite what I'm looking for. The joycons are too small and the SPP is too big. I'd rather joycons were bigger, had a more natural shape for gripping, and used real analog sticks (that are still small) like those on the Oculus Touch. Have the surface area be just enough that the directional pad and right analog stick are slightly closer to the center of the controller, and we'll have a winner.Just get a split pad pro. Fair enough, it's just about the perfect size for me. Feels like a Pro controller but with dat sweet hori dpad! ^^I already have. They're great, but not quite what I'm looking for. There's no evidence of a new standard model. Also note Neon Red is still in production, regular Red was the color from the special Odyssey Switch (it was also available separately in some regions).
This. I like it to look minimalistic, which some might call boring.Grey is the best because it doesn't bother my sight when looking at the console.
I sure hope so. They need to be redesignedI'm guessing the next-generation of Joy-Cons are now underway...

It was discontinued as a set. Still not sure about individual one though. Are they discontinuing 3 sets, or 6 individual joycons, Left and Right, matching gray, red, and yellow colors?
Cool to know there's this ambiguity. I'll be waiting for more info.It was discontinued as a set. Still not sure about individual one though. Are they discontinuing 3 sets, or 6 individual joycons, Left and Right, matching gray, red, and yellow colors?
Which is a shame, because they are really great looking if you aren't a fan of neon colors. These are the "Mario Odyssey" red by the looks of it, which isn't a huge deal for the US as those were never sold separately anyway.
They're the most comfortable controllers I have, with their split design and how they rest in the hand. I know everyones hand sizes are different, but these just fit like a glove. I wish Sony and Microsoft offered split controllers. For me liking the joycons at all is incomprehensible. Great idea but terrible execution, worst controllers Nintendo has ever put out.
It's rather unfortunate that these controllers ended up in a system that gets so much play time from its owners. For me liking the joycons at all is incomprehensible. Great idea but terrible execution, worst controllers Nintendo has ever put out.

I live in a post-joycon world. All I ever use are the Pro controller and the split pad pro, the joycons are there as a crutch for multiplayer when there's 8 of us but other than that they're completely ignored. It's rather unfortunate that these controllers ended up in a system that gets so much play time from its owners.
Same. I just clicked on the first switch I saw and hit the preorder button.I ordered the gray system in a rush to get a launch-day Switch. It's on the list, next to some of my big relationship breakups, of my biggest regrets.
