So i'm about to spark and i wanted to ask who should be better to choose between Sandalphon or Orchid

I would go with Orchid since you have more great Earth units. Be quick since there is only a few hours left before the switch (you would lose the spark).

I completed my spark (I was at 180 free pulls yesterday and somehow managed another 60 today so I only had to spend 60 of my own currency to do it), and managed to get 3x Sandelphon along the way, so I went ahead and sparked Jeanne.

That worked out much better than I expected.

Got excited when I got Jeanne only to realize it was her non-grand Light version lol. It's fine because my next 10 pull gave me Sandy.

Now I'm sitting at 170 pulls and I need to decide if I'm going to spend the rest of my crystals to spark G.Jeanne or maybe save them to spark on the next banner.

I think she works better with Macula and Aglovale, looking at what she offers.

Edit: Don't have ox yet but looking at some of the fate bits that people are posting is giving me cringe, yikes.

Her S2 does look fun though, saw someone go up to 14 mil.

As far as Catura goes in her fate episode,

1.) She takes one look at Gran and decides she wants to marry him, which is incredibly relateable

I saved Frenzy for this banner in hopes of getting Filene. Rolled on banner and as to be expected I hit an SSR on my first one (Nicholas). Nicholas turns into Ultra Robo Grand God Kaiser so this technically saved me a future surprise ticket. Mukka activated and like clockwork I hit it again on my first roll. . and it was Catura.

So while I still utterly loath Catura's design, her personality is pretty fun, the love drunk romance novel nerd with the full "my prince" lines and tried to put on a glass slipper. It was honestly alot of fun, i was able to look past from her design and enjoy the character alot. Now I am hoping she gets a really good paid skin, I would be willing to pay for that.

(P.s. I'm playing as Djeeta, they acknowledge that and Catura just doesn't care, still her prince)

Gameplay wise her kit feels very strong but a little bit confused, like her CA reduces her cooldowns by 3 turns and her skill 1 and 2 want you to repeatedly use them to build up power since they have lengthy cooldowns (12 and 7 respectively) yet her skill 3 eats 60% meter every turn to deal insane amount of TA dmg with supplement damage and 50% echo. Its going to take me a alot more testing to find what might be the best way to play her. (I tested her alongside Zeph Chaos ruler w/ Love Eternal, s.Anila and Grimnir).

Got me thinking that if she was light instead, she would have the perfect characters + TPS to get her S3 going almost permanently.

I guess the casual skin could somehow make her design less terrible but that going to be a long wait...

Surprised how mid this banner is compared to last ny, but perhaps due to covid issues? Or the big Vikala/Belial banner was an anomaly? Zodiac being a child with such a trashy design is just too creepy for me, hope I don't get her(plus wind is so packed chara wise). Got Sutera and Naoise from the last banner and both look pretty neat. Seeing how much better and fitting Ox's mom looks is sad.

I got Ox on gachapin, but her design and personality are so off-putting. She has literally nothing else going on except wanting to marry the protag for...reasons. Her kit also seems like a mess? She wants to CA for the cooldown reduction, but also wants to drop 60% of her bar for TA??

And yeah her mom is a way better design.

The 60% for TA and echo seems useful for assassin turns like if you have Shiva. The 24 hits skill seems great for Omens and other hit conditions.

Her kit is confused, i've decided to just ignore her skill 3 in favour of a CA focused team, she works pretty well with Siete if you have him.

Love Catura, and it's hilarious to see both extremes of the internet hating on her for different reasons. Her kit is a little weird, but Cygames never lets Zodiacs languish. The first half of the year will probably have a decent amount of new toys for Wind to play with.

Her design might be one of the ugliest things I've ever seen, and the fact that she's 15 and looking to marry is gross. Also her kit is just straight up all over the place and I doubt she'll be picked over any other specific wind character. I'm glad you like her but she's just a fucking mess.

You might be thinking a little too hard about the jpegs in your Japanese gambling game.

Comments about her design aside (which is subjective) and her kit (which is objectively weird), there's absolutely nothing new or shocking about a teenager interested in marriage in Japanese media. It's a trope as old as time in anime and game media. Cygames is usually pretty good about being progressive, but they also know what sells to their audience (Japanese people) and this is it.

I got Catura with mukufrenzy and it's crazy how I don't feel excited about getting a free Zodiac. Even if they bumped her age up to 18+ or fixed her outfit I'd still dislike her over her boring, tropy personality. I wasn't crazy about Vikala's design but at least her personality was fun.

This is exactly how I felt pulling her. Just nothing but disappointment. The design itself, even if they wanted to go for those tropes is trashy, and her personality leaves nothing to be excited for. Naru does the dependency and submissiveness trope already in a way that doesn't skeeve me out.

As someone who doesn't give a shit about any Waifus, I was at least OK with the fact that based on her fate episode i clicked through pretty quickly she just seemed super infatuatuaded with Gran (or Djeeta, apparently if you are Djeeta you are still her "prince"), who is also 15, and falling in love with someone and instantly deciding you want to marry them is something that 15 year olds do before they grow up and realize how stupid it is

Meanwhile, I got punished hard by gacha. I carried over 40 draws, and then did 100 draws the night of the banner change and ended up getting all the new characters, so I thought "huh, maybe won't spark this, I don't need anything here". Then yesterday I get 60 draws, and today I get 120 draws, so I literally had to spark before I could finish using my free draws today. Ended up getting Rei over Rein, Monika or Ferry. Watch me spike 200 draws tomorrow or something as well.

At least I should be able to spark V-day if I HAVE to, and can do the Anniversary for sure

I've had the absolute worst luck with the roulette. Multiple 10s without RPS, most I've gotten is 60. When I finally got Gachapin I got rainbow on first pull, same for Mukku. Ah well.

Mukku came through for me today and got me the last two characters on the banner after somehow going 3 draws with no SSRs. This was the last roulette spin on this banner right? At 213 draws, I wonder if spending 83 more is worth it to get Io, Lecia, Pholia, Ferry, Monika, or Leona. I don't think any of them have weapons that are must haves for any of my grids so I am probably not going to finish the spark.

I got bad luck all around with the roulette this time with only 60 draws towards sparking the new zodiac, which seems to be useful for otk but I'm not sure there's much rush to get her right now so I'll wait until she's in a banner with better stuff if I have to do almost a full spark anyways. At least I got the chonki snek summon.

1 moon and Grimnir number 7 since I stoned him in the 200 rolls, and then got 7 moons in Mukku Frenzy over 30 rolls.
Can't complain, I got 230 draws in the premium gala banner which made for a cheap spark, but god these free 100/200 off gala always reinforce to me never drawing off gala. I've had 100 draws with zero SSR!

So I ended up with 250 rolls, bunch of gold moons, glorified quartz (SSR summons) and 3 new characters; Illnott, Bride Juliet and Fiorito. I was going to surprise ticket Illnott and had Bride Juliet as a future target so I consider this a big win.

Decided to try and start playing this again. the 250 draws today gave me about 13 SSR's, had enough crystals to get to 300 to spark. The 5 crystal draws to get there got me another 4 SSR's and I sparked for Feather.
