lol I used to just plough through the curbs there
How is this not considered trolling? This looks like screenshots from any racing game in the last 5 years. Sony had a great showing, but this was not part of it.
Nitpick time:
I mean, I get why they did it. No room for the logo otherwise lol.
"Brand Central" is something that makes me want to screamNitpick time:
1) Ugh that quote
2) The word "new" above used cars? Seriously?
"new" more than likely means an unlocked section in the UI. there is another thing that says new in the shot.

regarding your 2nd point, I'm sure once the user go to the used cars icon that "new" will disappear. It's probably just to show places that you haven't gone yet. There's "new" above the scapes too.Nitpick time:

Yeah, I get it, I have played all Gran Turismos. But still looks off to someone looking at it with fresh eyes.regarding your 2nd point, I'm sure once the user go to the used cars icon that "new" will disappear. *edit* lol I'm slow
Yeah, but imagine how good photo mode and replays will look for 7 then. The UI of GT has always been so bad...
The problem they have is that current photo mode and replays look so good that showing gameplay now on par with it looks less impressive.
I am still super excited about what it can deliver.
How is this trolling? I was mostly thrilled by Sony's showing. GT7 was pretty underwhelming. The long driving sequence in particular dragged, and IMO nothing shown was that impressive or screamed "next gen". It's great a new GT game is coming, they probably could've focused on more impressive aspects of the game. With that said, I don't like to backseat market other people's games..it just did not appeal to me nor did anything seem to be extraordinary about the game's presentation.

I confess that I used to cut that corner a lot of when I was juvenile. Maybe this is for the best.
Not even. Look at the reflections, alone. They're stunning. This looks like screenshots from any racing game in the last 5 years. Sony had a great showing, but this was not part of it.
Cars in GT Sport sound amazing already. Thers some videos showing the evolution of some cars from GT1 to GT Sport, you can notice the diferent sounds they used for each version of the game, and in GT Sport is a huge leap in sound quality compared to GT6.Remember when cars in GT sounded bad? They sure took care of that problem. The Mazda in the demo sounded so good, right down to the hiccups on shifts.
Is this the game with the most obvious use of hardware raytracing? I think it looks good! But I thought the last Gran Turismo looked good too. Diminishing returns hit pretty clearly for racing games.
I feel like someone should post the initial GT:Sport reveal v the actual release. PD hugely improve their games ahead of release.
I actually think GT7 is coming probably by summer next year, based on how it was presented.

I don't think I can tell in racing games that much any more beside pop up and ray tracing, they look so good already.
At this point I think they need to start focusing on the environment more than the cars. The cars already look pretty dang photo-realistic in GTS whereas the environments in GT lately have looked a bit barren/weak compared to their competition. Even the environment overview shot here looks really plain. I want to see them use the extra processing power to have some really wow eye-catching locations to drive through.
Using RT for the sake of it to get ass-like reflections as a result, better not use it at all. The example with the dashboard is much more refined. Also, why the heck aliasing is STILL a thing in GT games? Seriously, temporal solutions are pretty mature now, no reason for all these jaggies everywhere.
What PC racer impresses you? More so than this obviously....because this ain't impressive and unfortunately it's a console game.

Ok, what racing game impresses you, or impressed you more? I'm curious about your standards.
Which makes the decision to hold the stream at such low quality all the more baffling.
