Sony uses AWS & their own infrastructure. MS uses Azure. These infrastructures already exist. New breakthroughs in data compression algorithyms sure help but it sure as shit still won't be near to local hw quality on a consistent basis.yeah but Google has the infrastructure, which is very key in this. how is this any lol? MS can compete, for sure. but sony?
Giantbomb said it right. Yeah there's some cool stuff about this but the idea of it being under one corporation is scary. What will I personally own?
Era seems toxic as hell these days, this looks at least interesting and certainly not worth the vitriol here.
Agreed. But it won't for the most part. It'll also cost people a lot due to data caps and having to pay for super big data caps to be able to use it.If this works as good as they say it is, this is fucking insane.
Google beat MS at their own game! :O
If they coupled this with a box for maximum quality, I'd be in, but they haven't said a word about THE issue - input lag, which we saw with our own eyes in the brief AC demo.
It's THE problem, and it's not going away, seems.
Laws of physics gonna laws of physics.

There's no reason to be optimistic about this.Welcome to ResetEra is all I can say. You should see movie trailer threads here. Or tv show trailer threads....or any "unveiling" threads, really.
No, cryengine isn't supported atm.
shit you watched the full stream :OAll this tech, but they couldn't get any exclusives made for this reveal?
This isn't E3, dude.
I'm sure it's going to be free right? Or at least a monthly fee.
What do you have for internet?People sometimes just want to hate. I was apart of Project Stream and it worked extremely well.
