To show how traditional hardware can be a failure or something I'd guess
A steaming console? Nah. But steaming or downloading + maybe steaming while downloading for bigger internet capabilities would be cool.
Yes. And you call them steamed games despite the fact that they are obviously locally stored.
Steam powered consoles? Now that's retro.A steaming console? Nah. But steaming or downloading + maybe steaming while downloading for bigger internet capabilities would be cool.

Have people posted this yet? Because it's not the best choices to pick that lead up to your thing, lol
Nintendo seems pretty active last time I checked. It's not like they would highlight the history of their active competitors.
If Sega is a strategic partner, it would be kind of stupid to shit on them on the product presentation, no?It's not like they would highlight the history of their active competitors.

The Chromecast Ultra has an Ethernet port.Making a dongle seems asinine for the sole reason that this thing needs an Ethernet port
This actually looks kind of cool lol. Day 1.
Just saw the tweet on 3 consoles and coming soon. Seriously, they could've picked the current competitors consoles saying this is something new, instead picked Sega's last entry, the Power Glove and the ET game from the Atari 2600 that caused Atari to lose credibility and cause thr 1980 gaming industry crash in the 1st place. That marketing dept needs a head shake.
They never mention the Switch or Nintendo's brand. It's a big difference from displaying the actual console.
How are they shitting on it? They're displaying the console as a highlight of gaming history. They are comfortable showing it, though, because SEGA is exactly that: a partner, not a competitor. If Sega is a strategic partner, it would be kind of stupid to shit on them on the product presentation, no?
the power glove was made by mattel
Wouldn't that be pretty much a given at this point?I think what would make me most excited is Google founding their own 1st party game dev studios.
Outrun.. from Namco? Wonder if Sega make a Ridge Racer...

No u!
I've got gigabit in the neighborhood and at home and live about an hour outside of DC and I still had a bad time with the Project Stream beta. It is functional but it's so far behind local hardware it's like taking a generational step back thanks to video compression and latency!
This comes off as incredibly pretentious marketing and risks becoming an obvious meme if Google's venture fails or even has a poor response after the unveiling.

The big IP revival.
So new Phantasy Star Online in the west? That sounds like the best fit.
Haha no, one of the rumors in the OP is that there's going to be a big sega IP revival. I know technically Phantasy Star Online isn't dead, but it hasn't been in the west for years and seems like a good fit with Google streaming.
