Meat ranked in order
S tier - booty
A tier - beef, chicken
B tier- duck, pork, lamb, venison, goat
C tier - other edible birds (e.g. puffins)

I voted chicken, but only because I view steak as being in a class of its own, distinct from beef. Chicken is far superior to most other meats, but nothing beats a good steak.

Anyone who thinks chicken is better needs to grab some prime beef at Costco.

I'd take Pork over both solely cause of Pernil (with the Chicharron still on it). And then Carnitas, Pork Belly, etc. But I try to limit how often I eat it.

So here, I go chicken 100%.

Chicken is not only tastier, but healthier than beef. Beef is vastly more expensive if you want it "good". And quite frankly, I'm almost never satisfied after finishing a steak or a burger while I've never finished anything chicken related and been unsatisfied. No, beef doesn't operate in the same realm as chicken, and it never has. How is this a discussion?

I.... Don't know how to choose on this!

A really well prepared chicken is something special. So are wings.

A good piece of beef is something special, and you really don't need to do much with it other than cook it to be amazing. Chicken needs a bit of magic to not be boring.

That said, I eat chicken almost every day, I eat beef only a few times a month, so I'm going with beef

I love chicken. It's pretty much what I eat all week.

But man, a good smoked brisket or tri-tip is just on another level.

Chicken for everyday meals, but beef for special occasions.

In general I think good chicken dishes tend to require way more preparation and additions than good beef ones. Beef is way better at standing on its own flavorwise, chicken usually needs way more seasoning and sauce support

slow cooked high quality pork belly is divine

See it needs to be GOOD chicken though. That's exceedingly rare. Chicken is often far too dry for me. It says something that fast food restaurants get chicken right much better than anything I've made myself/made by family or friends.

Much easier to hit the "good" spot with beef, even imitation beef.

Y'all still brutally murdering animals, eating their corpses, and then debating which kind of dead body consumption is better? You murder mouths are clown shoes for real.

You should see how much they squirm when you butcher them yourself.

I have a theory the fear makes the meat better

I love both but I have yet to taste a chicken as good as A5 Wagyu. Especially if we're talking about zero seasonings.

Chicken is great because it's basically a blank canvas. You can do anything with it. So you can get amazing stuff, for sure.

But pork is #1. Bacon, porn loin (particularly bone-in chops), pork belly, and all of its cured varieties, all of its BBQ'd varieties, etc. are all top-tier dishes. It bums me out that pigs are seriously intelligent, because they're delicious.

Beef is great, but is probably a little less versatile than either of the above.

A good antibiotic/hormone/chemical-free, vegetarian fed, pasture-raised, young bird no more than 3-4 lbs exhibits a wonderful succulence, tenderness, and rich flavor, far outclassing the typical supermarket specimen which serves as most people's reference for how chicken is "supposed" to taste. (To take the flavor possibilities to an even higher level, try genuine heritage chicken.)

For my palate, I will take a perfectly-prepared and cooked (preferably roasted) chicken of the type above over beef prime rib any day. (Admittedly, I may have lost some of my taste for beef, having sworn off red meat years ago.)

That said, I will take almost anything seafood or veggie over either these days. 👩🏼‍🍳
