HLN has been all over it, but they're the only ones I've seen so far talking about it much.
It's also about congratulating and acknowledging the efforts of investigators over the past few decades, not just the departments that finally got him.

Did he have a reason he was traveling around so much for kills? Was he just doing that to throw off the cops? It largely worked.
Apparently they had a composite sketch in Visalia that was pretty damn good. Likely spooked DeAngelo into relocating.
I'd wager it was exactly that. He was a calculating criminal, planning his crimes and stalking his victims weeks in advance; it stands to reason that he worked out how to stay several steps ahead.

This is an amazing story. Major respect to all those dedicated to finally bring this guy down and bring closure to all affected. Thank fuck they finally got him and he can now rot in jail.
I can't recall if I've ever heard of that moniker, unlike the Zodiac killer. Born in the bay area in '91 and I can't imagine what it must've been like to live through the terror of the Zodiac/this guy.
