No they didn't.This is true.
This is also true.
I dunno, Godzilla 2014 and Skull Island both managed to be worse.
Its like people complaining about the plot on pornhub
Fanning themselves with the money the studio payed themWhere the fuck are all those people with the glowing Twitter write-ups?!
Agreed easily the thing the bums me out from the reviews I've read. The RT % honestly doesn't phase me one bit but so many reviews tearing down the action scenes is what is really giving me pause. What a bummer.
Those weren't critics. People need to realize that those early social media impressions aren't worth anything.Where the fuck are all those people with the glowing Twitter write-ups?!
its peak bay not giving a shit about anythingYa'll need to stop hating on TLK. It's one of the most unintentionally funny big budget movies of the decade.
King Arthur, Merlin, medieval explosions, Harriet Tubman, Nazis, robot butlers, nonsensical plot twists, Marky Mark wielding a sword.
It's got it all!
TLK is so bad it almost looped right back around to being good. Almost.Ya'll need to stop hating on TLK. It's one of the most unintentionally funny big budget movies of the decade.

I mean when it's 80% of the movie it's a problem (see Bayformers) and when the action is a blurry mess that is incomprehensible and trapped behind a gradient filter that makes it super dark and full of shit flying everywhere (see also Bayformers) then it's kinda warranted.

Is this gonna be the next Pacific Rim where people dislike it for reveling in the logic of its cartoonish shlock or is it actually not good
Both Skull Island & Godzilla 2014 are phenomenal films. I'm genuinely wowed at how many people can't even appreciate the former as great popcorn fare (I get that the latter is an aquired taste).
I'll tell you when I watch it.Is this gonna be the next Pacific Rim where people dislike it for reveling in the logic of its cartoonish shlock or is it actually not good
I got my $14 worth just from hysterically laughing to the point of tears watching Anthony Hopkins, academy award winning actor, running from a bunch of incomprehensible CGI doing the fucking old man shuffle and having to have clearly CGI'd parkour scenes. It was beautiful.TLK is so bad it almost looped right back around to being good. Almost.

I like how the movie implies that the autobots were involved with freeing the slaves. It's like the writers threw in nonsensical and absurd shit just to see what they could get away with, and it all ended up in the movie. Truly amazing.Ya'll need to stop hating on TLK. Gojira and...? I actually don't know what the 2nd most acclaimed you're talking about is. Biollante? Godzilla vs Mothra?I mean, the two most acclaimed godzilla movies were more than dumb fights
throwing that out there amigos

He's probably talking about Shin Godzilla.Gojira and...? I actually don't know what the 2nd most acclaimed you're talking about is. Biollante? Godzilla vs Mothra?
Lol look at all these critics worrying about things like the human condition or basic intelligence
The entire point of the movie is to see cool shots of monsters fighting
Oh I'm aware. I've seen all of them...That's a throwaway moment, there's so much other hilarious shit in those films that people are sleeping on.
shin brehGojira and...? I actually don't know what the 2nd most acclaimed you're talking about is. Biollante? Godzilla vs Mothra?
By actual score it's Shin Godzilla.Gojira and...? I actually don't know what the 2nd most acclaimed you're talking about is. Biollante? Godzilla vs Mothra?
Oh Shin. Eh. It's good, but I feel like a lot of the critical hype came from the director and it deliberately bucking tradition. Also the fucking astounding atomic breath scene.
They liked Shin Godzilla, so your point is kinda moot.
A balls to the wall giant monster movie was never going to review well with mainstream critics. I'm just hoping for the sake of the movie's box office that it doesn't score too low.
From the trailers alone I know it's already better than Godzilla 2014.
How are film makers not getting that we really, really want to SEE the monsters?? Not try to see them through a shaking camera.
