Oh for sure. For as wild as the series gets, it doesn't really begin to play its cards for like 5-6 episodes.
In any case, I really doubt they do more anime that aren't little one-shots or anything like that for the rest of the year, and that's fine.

It's weird how depressing GT's ending actually is despite the attempt at this uplifting nostalgic look back at the series
Pan is this old woman and is the last of the "Z fighters" still alive, she's all alone except for her grandson (so I guess her own kid died?), Goku is apparently some weird wandering immortal now or something, Bulma's own, like great-granddaughter or something has no idea who Pan is so somehow the two families drifted apart.
edit: Oh wait, in the Japanese version Pan is Goku Jr. (god what a stupid name)'s great great grandmother so there's like multiple generations of dead Son family between them. what the hell
Also them getting intrigued by the concept of "Majuub" just reminds me of how quickly Uub got sidelined in GT and then did nothing of importance, even as Majuub.
