I wonder if this got remastered to tie into the upcoming movie. As in they're still keeping this canon
It was rated for Xbox One. I'm positive it will be released for Steam as well.
I hope the online mode returns.
Yeah decent is the perfect description. It's ok gameplay wise but the story elevates it (minus the player character).
I missed this last gen and started it last year on the X but I stopped hoping there would be a X Enhanced patch. Good thing I waited!
I hope so because it's STUPID they decided it wasn't canon around the time the 2016 reboot came around, and we know how that movie went. Put the game back into canon and tie it into the upcoming movie. Sorted.
Happy about this getting a remaster, but kinda wary that they're only showing cutscenes instead of gameplay...

I bought it originally at launch and got jack of it after a few hours. Tried again when it went BC on X1. Yeah, It's fun tos ee the characters and hear the voices, but it's not a particularly good game.

Not terrible but worse than the Xbox 360 version.
The PS2 version was very bad if I remember correctly.
It was kind of like...inoffensive? I wouldn't play it for the gameplay, but the gameplay didn't get in the way of the script and VA, which were good. Great to hear Ramis as Egon one last time.
Really liked this game when I played it last gen, hope the price isn't too high for this one, because I would definitely replay it.
Can't seem to find any confirmation of platforms beyond PS4, but since it was originally leaked on XB1 I can imagine it's at least an XB1/PS4/PC title.
Shame about the lack of the Wii game. I loved that version when I was younger and it would have made this package a lot better. I'll probably end up picking this up though (as long as the remaster's not a crap job).

I remember AI being terrible but maybe it was only PC version?
You and me both. I rarely play AAA games more than once, but this one I've finished about 5 times, and replaying some of the earlier sections 10+ or more.
I hope this isn't a cheap remaster, don't care about other games but not this one!

Wonder if they'll have bothered 'remastering' the Online multiplayer mode from the PS3/360 versions though. It was actually quite fun when it worked, but the servers were massively glitched during launch month and screwed matchmaking so everyone gave up and abandoned it early on.

I hope they tune up the framerate. The 360 version could really chug as physics objects started flying everywhere.
Yeah, and presumably it was a port of the Wii version which itself was an almost entirely different game to the versions on more powerful consoles.
Huh, random remaster aside, this was an okay game in 2009. May check into it at ~$10 assuming it isn't a an exclusive for whatever reason.
The PS2/Wii version went with The Real Ghostbusters cartoon style for their aesthetic while the PS3/360/PC got realistic.
Most certainly. A 7/10 elevated by great use of license.

This isn't a 'play this even if you don't like the IP' like say the Batman Arkham games, but if you like Ghostbusters this is a must play. The love for the IP, the attention to detail, its one of the best licensed games in terms of how well it leverages the license.
