Ghost Recon Frontline Test Delayed Indefinitely

It was supposed to be a modern/near-future military version of Hunt: Showdown or a more welcoming version of Escape From Tarkov.
It was a Ghost Recon Battle Royale which no one in the GR community wanted and the overwhelming reception in the rest of the community was like collective amnesia where everyone forgot about it the second after watching it.
Wait...that doesn't say indefinitely. Gaming community needs to learn to use that word better.
Their wordage is correct. Indefinitely doesn't just mean: "Forever", it also means: "For an unspecified amount of time", and in this regards they gave no date so it's been delayed for an unspecified amount of time.
Just like people turning "literally" to mean metaphorically, gamers are turning indefinitely into cancelled is my point.
To be fair in this case... I wouldn't be shocked if they become one and the same.

If I remember correctly, the reveal video said they had been busy working on it for 3+ years.

I doubt it, Ubi is big enough and it would look bad if they did cancel it. Plus the Ghost Recon name, they are trying to build that up.
They should've let people at least try the game. If I was an investor my confidence in Ubisoft would be hitting the floor in reaction to this move.

It's not just gamers in this case, I feel. It's a super-duper misunderstood word in all sectors of entertainment. I see people use it with "cancelled" in an interchangeable fashion alllll the time with TV and film stuff. :x
