Access to the Windows Store via a tab in Steam Big Picture Mode, bringing us one step closer to a unified console-like UI in the PC space.
Phil was the guest for the Zoom call and Gabe called in from New Zealand for the final hour to surprise us all.
Why is this thread still open? Geoff has been doing these group calls for weeks. Reggie was on one the other day.
It's all about the game awards, there is nothing else to it at all.
Having a single game UI needs to be someone's goal.
Wasn't that a GameAwards chat or something? I wouldn't have expected announcements exactly, at least nothing that wasn't coming at the TGAs.
The only Valve-Microsoft news I want to hear is like Valve Headset support on Xbox or something like that. Or Gamepass interoperability with Steam would be also great, but I don't know if either thing would be even vaguely likely. I like the value of Gamepass but the launcher on PC is dreadful and Steam is the gold standard for launchers on PC, so if given the choice I would obviously use Steam.
It is not no, pretty sure I saw what it was before and it's just some company stuff.
They talked TGA, some questions about Bethesda x Microsoft, Gabe talked about the human mind, etc.It is not no, pretty sure I saw what it was before and it's just some company stuff.
Gabe is REALLY into neural interface stuff right now correct? They talked TGA, some questions about Bethesda x Microsoft, Gabe talked about the human mind, etc.
I like how Gabe is mysterious in that call with no camera lol. Maybe Game Pass through steam? Doubtful but would be great. Or possibly Valve actually announcing a new game again already and it will also be on xbox? That would be pretty bad ass.
The idea that people think Valve and MS doing business but inviting Geoff Keighley in on it is only slightly less idiotic than the idea he would randomly tweet about it afterwards.
Have you seen him whenever he appears on camera on in public? He doesn't really care about appearances.
Or Xbox just IS the best choice for this holiday.Gabe did say he felt Xbox was the best choice this holiday 'just because' and it did feel like there was a deal in the works sugaring his opinion.
Or they just enjoy having MS games on Steam idk.
It doesn't have to be an acquisition. Maybe there's a new trailer of some big game coming up.Gabe did say he felt Xbox was the best choice this holiday 'just because' and it did feel like there was a deal in the works sugaring his opinion.
Thanks for the title change!Official Staff CommunicationThread title has been updated to more accurately reflect the content of the OP and the event in question. Thank you for remaining on topic!
Probably only way I get Game Pass ever again. Would be swell. If you get game pass without the Windows Store part that ruins it, that'd be pretty good.
But would they really put their premier service on there?
VNN did release his report. If this is the stuff that was talked about it's actually far, far more interesting than I expected.
Edit: Neither Gamepass nor consoles are mentioned.
Perhaps because infection rate for covid is minimal.
So he's just going to chill in New Zealand for a year? đź‘€
If i remember correctly he was there on a short vacation with 2 other people, them there was the lockdown and he decided to stay there since US was being hit hard by covid. or something like that
Because it's the best place to be. He was there when the pandemic started and there's zero reason for him to leave.
Very interesting. I would love to see Valve try to open another studio in New Zealand. I really feel like Valve hasn't had enough employees for what all they do for a very long time.
I'm really interested in brain interface too. Seems like a super interesting technology, I can't wait to see what all it will do not just for gaming but for every day life.
well he can, he has the money
I won't be able to see the video until later, so excuse me if I'm mixing things.
Concerning New Zealand, Xbox twittead something... I don't know if it could be related.
I just find it weird that he's been hanging out in New Zealand since March. That seems so random. Is his family with him? Did he bring his knife collection? These are the questions I need answered.Because it's the best place to be. He was there when the pandemic started and there's zero reason for him to leave.
No, just him. He goes on national tv there and stuff.I just find it weird that he's been hanging out in New Zealand since March. That seems so random. Is his family with him? Did he bring his knife collection? These are the questions I need answered.
What! This is crazy.
Heard itll have Chess 2 as an exclusive thatll be announced in The Bible 2 magazines next year
The Final Hour of the Zoom Call sounds like a great next project.Phil was the guest for the Zoom call and Gabe called in from New Zealand for the final hour to surprise us all.
Thousands of dollars worth of games for $15 is not bad for people who haven't participated in the Xbox Eco system in awhile.
