Kaboomball Kombat is gonna be hard to beat though, that event was GARBAGE.
My biggest issue is it felt like the longest 3 minutes of my life, and the actual "meat" of the event was pretty dull. I love a good pong/tennis type game, but this one was just so boring IMO....I really liked that one, so I'm surprised to hear that from someone, hah. It was super quick to do and the minigame was very simple.
besides, nothing is as bad as the infuriatingly difficult boss fight with multipliers events
There's negativity and then there are valid, constructive, criticisms. Seems like you're the one not bothering to read peoples' posts. Most of the complaints on the tower defense are "too difficult!"
Half of y'all don't even understand the mechanics properly and seems don't bother to read either.
This is why I can't take the negativity in this thread seriously.
The reward requirements don't need perfect runs and the random buffs feel like those you choose in roguelikes which means you need to adjust strategy on the fly.
This rerun has more depth than the previous grind fest which was just rerunning the same level over and over to get materials.
Yeah, basically. I got my Primos and I'm done. No interest in playing RNG Tower Defense.I feel like enjoyment of the new tower defense is related to if you think gacha draws are exciting or a necessary evil.

Sorry for the late reply, but I appreciate the response here! You definitely gave me a little better understanding of some of the systems in the game and I think at this point my best bet will be just taking your advice and focusing mostly on the main story here and hoping that some of the systems just make more sense as I play. I don't have a ton of primo gems or anything to pull for any characters right now anyway so I'll just take my time and appreciate the story that I've got right now haha.I don't have any kind of beginner's guide on hand myself -- maybe someone else might know of one to send your way?
But I can at least clear up the terms you mentioned!
Wish = this has two meanings -- within the game, wishes = banners (aka Character Event Wish), but the community commonly uses 'wish' to mean a pull/summon on the gacha banner. E.g., you use primogems or fates to wish on the character banner.
Resin = basically a stamina system; you build up resin as time passes and use it to obtain the goodies from ley lines, domains, and boss fights. It's the number at the top right corner of your map that lists x/160 -- x being how much resin you currently have. The stored limit is 160, but I believe you can get up to 180 resin every 24 hours. Fragile Resin is an item that you can use to gain 60 extra resin. Condensed Resin is an item you can craft to store 40 resin for later use on ley lines and domains (excludes bosses), and is separate from the 160 amount.
R0/R4 = weapon refinement level (r = refinement; 4 = level 4). If you have duplicates of a weapon, you can use the duplicates to refine it and boost its abilities. In a similar vein, constellations or cons (C0, C4, etc) refer to character duplicates.
And to start, I'd honestly just focus on the story & exploration and let yourself slowly feel out the various systems as you go. Just make sure to only spend your primogems on the limited time character banners (NOT the standard banner) and don't bother grinding artifacts until you reach AR45. It's also recommended you focus on building up one primary DPS & team to start -- don't spread your resources out too much early on or you may find yourself under leveled later. There isn't really anything else you can do wrong, though, so don't worry about things too much. It's definitely super overwhelming at first, but as you ease into it more and more things will slowly start to make more sense, promise.
If there are any other stuff you're confused about, though, definitely don't hesitate to ask!
It's crazy right? Like 50% crit just falls off trees lolAnyone else look at those "ideal stat ratio" charts and despair
Where do you people get crit rate
I have stupid levels of crit damage and nothing else

Real talk though, getting a crit hit helm is truly key.
Yeah, you all warned me. :P
I guess I'll wait for someone who can make good use of this.
5* lv 20 hats give 31% crit rate, so they really do make a humongous gain in that stat. If you aren't getting lucky with your other artifact pieces rolling 7-10% crit rate sub stats each, that crit rate helm could make up for it by itself. All the artifact stats are such balancing acts. You take what you can get from wherever you can get it. It's not like we can realistically give weapons with crit rate to all the characters either. I'd recommend at least leveling a couple crit rate helms in the mean time before you find better ones.Either crit rate or EM hats have to be my lowest drops in the game
Crit rate hats also having the worst substats possible, and never being on set
At this point should I just level and use them even if the substats are bad?
Oh no, I'm prefarming for Baal's new signature weapon
This is a dark path
Fuck dude, that's a mighty fine hat. Zhong Li would wear it with honor.I have this.
This was before I knew any better. Now I await the day where I am allowed to reroll the main stat. Or maybe I'll just leave it like this for Zhongli, or for something entirely different in the long run.

Out of the remaining standard banner weapon that might show up in the Raiden spear banner, only unforged feels crappy.
Everything else are worth it to pull on the weapon banner imo.
That's actually extremely fair. Sitting there constantly refreshing for the shit you want is annoying as all hell.I feel like enjoyment of the new tower defense is related to if you think gacha draws are exciting or a necessary evil.
Remember early in the game when events cost Resin? What a dark time that was
Reminded me of how long it took to get a decent blizzard set, and it still doesn't have enough crit rate. I wouldn't advise switching if someone already has a good wanderer's set (big 'if' since you can't farm it easily), it performs well enough in freeze comps.Wanderer's troupe is ideal for melt compositions which incidentally makes cryo resonance useless, so that is an appropriate amount of crit. I would definitely suggest switching to Blizzard Strayer if you're trying to freeze, but those stats look great for Wanderer's melt.

The Unforged isn't in standard banner. Zhongli's weapon banner is the only banner where both featured 5* weapons are event-exclusive (Vortex Vanquisher + The Unforged).
I dont even feel like spending resin sometimes lol. i wish there was a menu that would just let me spend it on mora or books or whatever
But you have to farm those, same with crystal cores, and their stupid max 5 limit, just let us burn it ffs.You can actually burn it instantly at the blacksmith on those weapon upgrade crystals if you just want to expend and get your adventure tank exp!
