Think the Terminator stuff comes after the 16th. Halo stuff is really included in the Ultimate version.

I'm skeptical this is going to be the shakeup the franchise needs, but I'm going to give it a fair shake. At the very least this should be a really polished and enjoyable campaign.

theres a hd texture pack on pc hence why its smaller ?

They are talking about how Gears 4 now is. Its indeed over 100gb with all the content added. At launch it was the same as Gears 5
I play on PC with a controller, and have no issues matchmaking, etc.
Gears 4 didn't start at 100gb, it blew up from all the multiplayer updates.
I'm finishing up the CoOp Campaign section this weekend, so I'll be ending up with 10 of 11 completions. (Wasn't even close for the earlier time-limited Raam one). I'll prolly have more friends needing to wreck some Horde Modes or Public Versus for theirs, so will be helping out there, too. 👍

Speaking of when it begins, that might be a little earlier than you expected. Across both digital and participating retailers, Gears 5 Early Access will begin at 9pm on September 5th in your local time zone!
For regions that contain multiple time zones, the earliest time zone will dictate your release time. For example, North American Early Access will begin at simultaneously at 9pm ET, 7pm CT and 6pm PT.
Wow, I was expecting another 100+ GB monster, though I guess maybe it will overtime. Any chances that the PC version will be much bigger? Cause I might dive in on Gears 5 then on gamepass.

Do the Ultimate Edition add-ons start downloading now too or closer to launch? I have Game Pass Ultimate but can't seem to find them in the game's ready to install section.
Still have 500 or so kills to do in Horde, and I'm good! I also missed the Gilded Raam event.
September 6th for Ultimate and Game Pass Ultimate. September 10th for other people.
Pretty cool they are launching it at 9 pm next Thursday. Lots of "sick days" across the country next Friday I bet
It's definitely going to be hard to focus on Friday after starting the campaign Thursday night lol.

54 GB, I scoff at that. About 30 minutes on my 400mbps connection (not maxed either, server is bottleneck)? Guessing, since 88+GB Destiny usually takes me about 45 minutes to DL (I frequently uninstall/reinstall to forcibly keep myself from playing too much)

You're not going to like the future of gaming let alone next gen. At this point I budget ~100GB HDD space per game and if it's less, that's a bonus.
Ah I see, well my download actually started now so here's hoping I don't get cut off midway through and have to start from the beginning again

No, was using the Microsoft Store. Works using the Xbox App, thank you. Kinda stupid that I have to install an extra app for such a simple thing.

It should work on the MS store also but the store is just weird sometimes. The reason they made this specific app.
The 1st couple missions suck, but the rest is pretty fun imo. I'd say give it a go.
