Randy, you've got way more important things to worry about than whether or not your new "shoot mentally ill people in the head" game gets a high score on Metacritic.

Gearbox is good at one thing and that's Borderlands, i would be surprised if the game IS NOT good.

Boycotting a game is easy if it's something you weren't gonna buy anyway. It's only with games where there's a huge interest by the community despite the controversies surrounding the developers (The Witcher 3, Detroit, The Last Of Us 2, Borderlands 3, etc.) that you can truly see who's really putting their money where their mouth is and who is just trying to appear to be on the right side of things. Enlightening, really.
As for the thread, I stopped buying Borderlands games after they decided shortly after 2 that the full priced game along with the season pass was not enough for me to get all the content the game has to offer. Then the way they treated 3D Realms and Duke Nukem in general was unreal, plus the aggressive marketing backfiring for Battleborn (it took me several seconds to remember this game's name, and I liked the beta and even bought the game at one point) was just icing on the cake. All these legal issues are a different matter of course, but Randy never came off as a genuine guy, so in a way it's not all that surprising. Still, innocent until proven I guess, but I doubt I'll buy Borderlands 3 anytime soon for a variety of reasons.

Randy didn't make BR3 alone. You can appreciate the product of very hard work and sacrifice made by hundreds of people without agreeing to the reprehensible behavior of the CEO they have to suffer under.
Bad timing on rhetoric like this, especially when one of the things you're being accused of is hosting parties were people are diddling kids.
I mean, he's literally being accused of stealing money from the company and using some of it to throw parties where minors are being abused.

By that logic, every game made by a large team needs support cause it's supporting hundreds of people. And why stop there. You can apply the same argument to any product made by a large company with a morally dubious CEO. Doesn't work like that fam.

Just saw one of my old friends post a selfie with him on Twitter (apparently Pitchford is hanging out at the Gamestop Conference in Nashville lol). Maybe if I see him on the street I'll ask him if there will be peacock parties in Borderlands 3.
I mean twice this accusation has followed randy with a legal case, and this is a thread dedicated to those legal disputes.
Thats a fair amount of smoke following the guy about this, if it stops more children being abused and is true, it deserves to be mentioned.
Rumours about the peacock parties have been floating around the internet for a while, i first saw that claim somepoint last year. I hope its all made up to make randy look bad i really do, especially as hes tweeted at Tim Schaefer before about attending those peacock parties. I cant stand randy but if tim was complicit in this thatll just break my heart.

The craziest part is that this game has essentially everything going against it.
Meme humor that is only relevant at release, Epic Games exclusive, and a CEO squandered by legal troubles and controversy. Not to mention that games like Destiny and The Division 2 have essentially beat them to the GaaS train while taking their game design with them. Borderlands 3 is going to have to try very hard to remain relevant without screwing up the company's image between now and release.
