No other ps5 pre orders are going to pop up before release? Would like to snag one...but don't want to wait in a line.

You can get $200 for a 1X currently towards a new console and I believe that lasts until the 30th but double check that date....
No promo, just regular trade in value.

I got the email saying you can trade-in the Pro or One X for $200 off the new consoles, but when I check the trade-in value online they both show as $175. Can you only do it in store or does it have to be specifically applied to a new console preorder? It's been a while since I've done a trade-in there.

$175 would be the regular trade in value, $200 is what you get if you trade it in towards the new consoles

You do realize there will be Digital sales for Black Friday as well? Sometimes it really feels like people don't ever see PSN sales.
I don't think they were saying that. It just very unlikely games like Watch Dogs Legion (32.99), 13 Sentinels (29.99), Persona 5 Royal (19.99 @ BB) hit those prices this year on PSN. Maybe in 2021, but it will be at least a 3-6 month wait.

And of course, they can always sell those physical games and get more value out of them. They could play Legion and probably flip it back to GameStop for $20-$30 credit probably until January, or sell to another person too.

Alright this is so random but... Some guy on twitter replied to wario 64's post about this bf ad that he already got Yakuza 7 and AC Valhalla for $25 each. Is this guy bullshitting? Is there a deal somewhere that is this good?

Of course I already bought WD and haven't even played it yet since I'm waiting for PS5.

Those sales are almost never as good though. The gap has closed over the years but there still is a gap, and in some cases the gap is huge.

RE3 is cheaper at Best Buy.

Come over to the OT for Black Friday gaming deals here:

www.resetera.com

2020 Black Friday & Cyber Monday |OT| Where are the next gen system deals?!? I can't even find a system! OT

Black Friday is on November 27th and this year it will be taking place in the middle of a pandemic while at the same time being in the middle of multiple console launches. How things will play out this year is certainly anyone's guess. Will stores change how they do deals in store to prevent...

And check out our spreadsheet that keeps track of all the deals and highlights the lowest price.

Even if PSN/Xbox digital prices don't get that low (say $5 -$10 higher on sale), it's still worth it to be all digital for me. Convenience and account sharing (with my 16 yr old) makes it more than worth it. Anyway, these prices are good for those who like physical games.

True, especially with account sharing. Saves a lot of money that way too. Good to have these options

Thanks, do you know if you also need to include the controller with it or just the console? Also, do we have any confirmation on how complete the backwards compatibility is with Xbox One? Is it literally all games are 100% compatible or is it like with PS5 and XB360 compatibility on Xbox One where certain titles aren't compatible?

I kept my 360 because the back catalog wasn't 100% compatible on Xbox One but I'm wondering if there's any reason to hold on to my Xbox One X?

Yeah I think you have to trade in controller and all cables that come with the system

Isn't Persona Royale $10 at Best Buy this black friday? It might just be for the regular edition but I could swear it was cheaper.

Definitely not all of them, though I'm sure they're continuing to add more

Yea you include everything the console came with, the cables, controller, charging cable, etc.

AFAIK there's no reason to keep it if you're getting the Series X.

If you're buying a Series S, then I guess one thing to keep in mind is that Series S' backwards compatibility is apparently inferior to the X1X's if I recall correctly. So if you're buying a Series S and that matters to you, I guess that'd be one reason to consider keeping it.

Watch Dogs for that cheap that quickly is just insane.

Hope it gets that cheap elsewhere. Fuck Gamestop.

Thanks! I managed to find a list of excluded Xbox One titles from backwards compatibility in case anyone else was interested. Looks like just Kinect only stuff.

$30 for 13 Sentinels is awesome, but I'm not going into the store. Maybe if they'll do curbside pickup.

Hopefully Amazon or Best Buy offer the same price.

The one year Gamestop has decent Black Friday sales, and it's during a pandemic.

Also man, Gamestop's inventory system is trash. Just called the Gamestops around my area that are shown to have 13 Sentinels, but all of them said they don't have it??

3 months of Gamepass ultimate for $20! Fantastic deal
Wow $17 for Star Wars is a steal
And I'm stocking up on gamepass cards
13 Sentinels for $30 isn't bad. Gamepass Ultimate for $20 is excellent. Wonder if there will be a sale on 2K Mamba edition. I suspect there will be but we shall see.
Yo gamepass for 20. I might hit up every gamestop in the hood

Saw you guys mention Gamepass Ultimate and just wanted to let you know that these EA Play 1 year codes are on sale for $22.
These will convert to 4 months of Gamepass Ultimate I believe tomorrow if not sooner. Cheaper way to get a full year.

EDIT: Erm, looks like it's too late now? Damn, just missed it. Deadline was supposed to be Tuesday.
Removed link until I can confirm.

EDIT 2: So the codes work but it's really glitchy. And it's actually giving you 1 full year of GamePass Ultimate for $22 lol.

If you want to risk it the codes are cheap at Shopto.

Judging by the reactions this seems to be lots of peoples first black Friday with ubisoft releasing a large title withing a month of it. I bought so many ass creed games half off just waiting a few weeks after release.

Watch Dogs almost half-price already? Big yikes. Guess they know it will be crushed by Valhalla otherwise

In other news, I highly recommend folks check out the sub services when big games come out. Worst case you're out $15 for playing a AAA game during launch month. This month for $15 I'm getting both Legion and Valhalla

For the Xbox onr you need the console, power cord, hdmi cable and a controller. You DO NOT need a cord for the controller since it uses AA batteries.

As far as we know damn near every Xbox one game is compatable with the series line EXCEPT for kinect games. Which is a very small handful.

I'm a bit surprised at the lack of PS4 console deals. For the last couple of years, there's been $200 bundles.

I'm wondering if I shouldn't expect that this time...
