Pretty sure it's just a joke not a troll, some of you are just getting upset for no good reason

If anything isn't Relativity supposed to kick in as speed increases, thus dilating time?

Aren't games half as long instead of twice as long?

Considering you move double the frames in the same amount of time.

OP your math is garbage.

If the human eye can't see past 30 frames per second, then where does all the missing time go?

The extra frames cause an anomality in the spacetime continuum which leads to time dilation, hence 60 fps games take twice as long to complete vs 30 fps games.

This was actually my thesis subject back at the University of Balamb Garden.

I remember back in the day Mario Kart 64 TT times were slower for PAL copies. But that's because they were 50hz vs 60.

I don't have the time for these double games, that's why I speed run through 15 FPS

OP: What's takes longer? 30 frames per second, or 60 frames per second? That's right! It's 60 frames per second. Because it renders twice amount of frames.

Also OP after reading the replies:

I mean, if they are playing Journey on PC this could be true? (One of the more interesting Digital Foundry videos of late -- jump to like 12:10 if the link doesn't take you there automatically)

But if it's taking twice as long to render twice as many frames, wouldn't that make it 60fp2s?

Meaning that OP just showed us that 60fps doesn't exist?

I'm glad you crunched the numbers OP. When will you start making content for digital foundry?

the crazier thing is that if video games were very realistic a game at 60 fps would be half as bright as a game running at 30 fps
