Every game nominated for game of the show is on PS4. This is why all this " what will happen to Sony now for not showing up to E3" was hilarious.

I predict a FF7 sweep.

Damn, Nintendo got pretty much shut out here. A couple of noms for LM3, couple for Link's Awakening, a nom for Pokemon, and that's it. Kind of reminds me of the mid-2000s.

I take it Cyberpunk 2077 didn't get nominated because the devs didn't allow the critics to play it themselves? I'm ok with that, if so.

Best Console Game seems like a weird award.

It's clearly not just for console only games, because WDL and Star Wars are there and they're confirmed for PC, but it's also not a mirror of best game, which are all games that will be on console.

Why even have it?

yeah it's a weird category, as is the best PC game cuz they're all available for console as well.

Im suprised Astral Chain and FE didnt get nominated for anything, they had pretty good showings, especially for Astral Chain as it looks fantastic.
EDIT: oh wait FE got a nomination for strategy.

Nope. I watched a CDPR rep "play" the game while watching a BCD demo, and his button presses seemed to match up, but if we don't go hands-on, it doesn't go on the list. (I honestly dunno who got to play Fire Emblem, however. I wasn't offered that one.)

The Outer Worlds should get at least 1 win. Hopefully the game does well enough to justify a more polished sequel.
