This thread incepted me into watching The Ring for the first time and I'm definitely going to have nightmares tonight.
It should be watched just for the possibility of something that has to reported, however unlikely.

SCP-1239-1 is the first subject to come in contact with SCP-1239. SCP-1239-1 was first found on ███.com. SCP-1239-1 made a forum thread dedicated to SCP-1239-1's discovery of SCP-1239 and participants in the thread encouraged SCP-1239-1's attempt to secure a mini dv player.
Upon contact with SCP-1239-1, subjects, identified as SCP-1239-R, will go searching for a mini dv player endlessly and will help SCP-1239-1 secure a mini dv player. Our testings have confirmed that subjects will render themselves incapacitated until a subject retrieves a mini dv player.
No attempts have been made to use SCP-1239 with a mini dv player.

Someone needs to put this on a VHS and hide it in a wall for later.
There's like a 1% chance this isn't either damaged beyond recognition or just some random home movie that like fell in the wall on accident.
But.....there's still a chance!
It would be nice to see this worked on and accepted. As a huge fan of the SCP archives and similar/inspired by works like Remedy's Control, I think it would be a highlight seeing an actual entry with its genesis on this forum.

I think you can report your own thread to inform a mod, that's always the answer ai see given anyways, never needed to do it myself.
