That's what I did with the Purple Xbox One S. Knocked a good $100 off the price when I bought it.
All well and good, but I really wish Nintendo would put some custom skins in the game.
I get that they don't want their IPs on other consoles, but when Sony and Microsoft have no problem with Kratos and Master Chief skins (which you can use on Switch after unlocking them on their specific platforms), not having a Mario hat at the VERY least is really unfair.

Yeah that's never happening unless they can somehow guarantee that the skin can only be seen on Switch and can't do any emotes.
Which I absolutely do not understand. Do Minecraft's Nintendo skins only work on 3DS/Wii U/Switch?
I imagine comes down to the Fortnite skins being fully 3-d realized character models and what they can do.

It's only a variant of each skin that you get by playing on PS5/XSS/XSX, Kratos and Master Chief are purchasable on all platforms (PS4/5, XB1, XSS/X, Switch, PC, Android)

Love the way the made the actually joycon unique with having Peely's face on it :D
The whole concept of Peely is kinda interesting, as he's kinda the mascot for Fortnite but if I understand it correctly you haven't been able to actualy get him n the game for along time now.

Absolutely ridiculous. I get that Nintendo wants to maintain their IPs, but doing it this way is missing out on massive marketing opportunities. I still don't understand why Nintendo is so behind the times with this stuff. And what makes matters worse is that their massive success now will give them zero reason to change.

Yep. Considering this past season focused heavily on gaming crossovers (the creation of the Gaming Legends rarity and taking the number of gaming crossover skins from 1 to 5 by adding Kratos, Chief, Ryu, and Chun-Li) and the concept of "hunters", it would have been great to see Samus in the game, who is probably gaming's most iconic "hunter", but alas
I can boot up Fortnite on Switch right now and buy Kratos and Master Chief, but god forbid a Nintendo character is seen on a non-Nintendo platform
The same can be said of a lot of Fortnite stuff. Like I know Fortnite didn't invent the floss, but it's one of those things that is closely associated with it, yet it was only available for 2 months early on in the games life cycle towards the end tiesr of an early season battle pass (before it got super huge), back when grinding to level it up was a genuine grind due to no challenges etc., so it was genuinely a case of ' buy the battle pass with real money and play Fortnite BR for hours a day to potentially get a chance of getting it'.
More drifting shit from Nintendo. Yay?! I'm amazed that this broken-ass product still gets shelf space. Nintendo is stone cold and gives zero fucks about those buying this fault-prone garbage.
The colors look great but I don't like the banana face. Not like I need new Joy-cons anyway, had to buy a new pair last year while mine were on repair for drifting.

Correct. Same with PlayStation. Content purchased with those V-Bucks is available on all platforms though, same with any earned V-Bucks (like those from the Battle Pass)

You realize that it's a vocal minority with the problem right? It still sucks but it's hardly everyone. I have 8 joycons and have never had the issue on any of them but my DualSense started drifting badly within 2 months. It can happen to any analog stick unfortunately and it's just the luck of the draw
Vocal minority... rofl. Every single person I know who owns a Switch has drifting garbage sticks. I'm practically the local spray shop with my big can of WD40 contact cleaner.
Okay, and nobody that I know who has a switch has ever had any drifting joycons. Anecdotal evidence proves nothing. It's a problem, yes. It's not a big enough problem for them to stop making joycons. Also, I don't know why you're buying a bunch of WD40 when Nintendo will repair them for free if you have the problem.
Free repair... lol, not in Europe (out of warranty). Nintendo doesn't give a fuck because they haven't been sued thoroughly enough here. When a company reacts only when threatened by American class action lawsuits, it tells you exactly how shitty they are.
Well personally I think they should definitely be offering free repairs to everyone in every region that experiences the issue and I'm sorry that happened to you, that is shitty.
At this point I don't think I'll buy anymore Joy Cons unless they are a Pro version that comes with the Pro, or Nintendo has directly addressed the issues.
Drifting is an issue but also terrible wireless connection. The joy cons don't work 6ft away from the console. I don't care what colour they are, they are awful.
