It appears many other gamers are as well. Capcom announced today that the game has sold 3 million copies in its first week of sales. That's a truly staggering sum for a remake, or for any game.

Considering that the "first week" was effectively only three days (last friday being the release date), that's mighty impressive and confirms what some might already have been suspecting after the game sat at #1 of the global beststeller list on Steam for a good three days.
