It's been, like, ten months since Lingard scored a goal. Where does he even get the confidence to try those shots?

Wouldn't be surprised if Sheffield Utd win very, very few of their next dozen games or so after this one. They've done so well so far but this was bound to happen eventually. This one will hurt no doubt.

Blades tied it at least. They'll kick themselves for squandering that lead and being so passive most of this half.

Ole lost that by bringing on a defender and trying to defend the lead.

He has to go. Naive and clueless. Sack him now and try for Poch.

let's hear some people keep claiming maguire is a class cb? guy is 26 and still haven't figured some of the basics. keep turning his back towards the opposing team ball carrier? can't use his feet for shit to defend with, how are you 26 and a cb and haven't figured out how to parry with your feet? guy ran four laps round the pitch trying to block the ball for 2 - 0 cuz he doesn't know how to work with his feet. plus having the acceleration of a dump truck?

how much did you say? 80 million?

the reason united's defense looks better this season is because of wan-bissacka simple as. defensively he's probably the best rb in the world right now (can't play the ball for shit however)

True. But the second and third goals also happened as a result of him bringing on Greenwood, letting James switch to the left, and having Rashford on the right.

But then we were shit for the first half as a direct result of his initial team selection and set up.

So uhh... mixed bag, really.

He brought on Lingard first to chase a goal, someone who hasn't scored since January.

He's absolutely clueless with subs, timing of subs, game management and tactics.

Gotta go now before more damage is done. Fuck the pundits who are his friends who defend him. Any other manager at United would be long gone. Ed made yet another mistake hiring him long-term.

united as team is trash-tier for the size of the club it is, get bailed out by individual performances, as for playing as a team? they are fucking clueless. sheffield ran laps around them, first half was an embarassment.

wilder deserves all the respect in the world, tons of pundits had this team picked as a bottom team to go down to the championship again.

best thing? united will be stuck with their 80+ million ''investment'' maguire that their superhighlydevelopedexportaimastercomputer scouting network shat out.

remember when you heard he was a leader? yeah that was a good one

remember when you heard how he is this ''backbone'' of a team? yeah also a good one

guy is great in the air? good at headers? i mean the guy has a size head that could block out the sun so you'd pretty much expect that.

We're gonna get Poch before you lot do 🍻

poch can do better than going to a club that is still stuck in the last decade. after the issues he's had with levy? pretty sure he's done with badly ran clubs for a while. you shot your shot last year, you put ole at the wheel.

the only thing that will ever (and i mean ever) reinstate united as a powerhouse in football is your club getting sold, and whole new staff being hired to run the club. short of that? enjoy middtable.

Or...or...and hear me out on this.
Let him stay.

But yeah he really has no idea what he's doing.

And Mou had no idea what he was doing, and LVG as well before him, and David Moyes before that. How many managers do we go through before we sack Woodward? How can you be as wealthy as United, and you're relying on the likes of Lingard to be the creative spark in your midfield. Woodward is hands down one of the worst individuals at his position.

In other news from the Bundesliga: Hoffenheim just lost 1-5 to Mainz. Mainz was up 1-0 at half-time when they got a red and proceeded to score 4 more goals lmao.

do we go through before we sack

endless, because glazers will never in a million years get rid of him. it all needs gone, the sooner you accept that and organize & mobilize as supporters the better off your club will be.

gonna be fun in 2020 when you lose pogba aswell. you need to buy an entire middfield (none of the players you have are good enough to be starters in a team with league aspirations) play lindelof/tuanzebe as cb's and accept that you f'd up on a monumental scale shelling out 80 mill for maguire.

rashbeck can do a job, but will never in a million years be a world class winger, martial is injury prone so he'll never reach his potential either. and dan james is a squad player.

bring henderson back from sheffield, and start grooming him to replace de gea. maguire being as slow as he is, and the fact he can't defend with his feet what so ever? both tuanzebe and lindelof are great at using their feet, both to work with to follow defenders but also to parry and to play the ball. and the physicality lindelof lacks a bit tuanzebe can cover. plus they both have good if not decent acceleration.

Yeesh you really hate Maguire, man.

He's no Van Dijk and he doesn't deserve the "most expensive defender in the world" tag, but he is, at the very least, an improvement for the team. And given the buys we'd been making during Mourinho's time, that's honestly a step forward for this United.

Maguire was clearly not worth 80m but it's a weird place to start with criticism when Jones and Lindelöf exist.

A bulk of the rumours I've read regarding United and January transfers have been about forwards like Mandzukic and Haaland. What we really need is a completely new midfield. Pereira, Lingard, and Fred are just not good enough. They are squad players at best and should not be automatic starters. Plus, Pogba *will* be gone soon. We need like 3-4 new midfielders.
