Yeah, I've held off on buying this expansion pass because I wanted to be sure about what I was getting. I've still not done the Blue Lions route, so I'll hold off and see what this is before I do another playthrough.

Please include an ability to access our cleared-save files. I hate that I can't access my old units and play around with them at all like in Awakening, Fates, and Echoes' post-games.

Logically this can only take place pre-timeskip. I mean, that's what we see in this footage and it's pitched as a side-story. Given the story diverges at the time-skip, it makes sense that the bulk of this content (finding these characters and working with them and doing whatever narrative content there is) takes place before the time skip happens and everyone goes their separate ways.

That being said, I expect there'll be post timeskip content with these characters, probably in the form of paralogues.

This Expansion Pass announcement makes the Smash character reveal all the worse.

Because now you know that Nintendo chose Blyth for cross-promotion marketing for Three Houses instead of enriching Smash Ultimate.
I could see that if this had been a direct and both were shown together to the same audience, but as it stands the Smash news is just completely overshadowing this DLC announcement.

Might try and clean up the Golden deer and Blue lions routes before this comes out and use these guys whilst playing with the church. Might make the route everyone seems to shit on a little better

Why Smash promoting a game that doesnt even release on a nintendo device, P5R, is ok, but Smash promoting FE, a game that not only releases for Switch but is also owned by them, is not ok?

Elise already is TECHNICALLY an adult.

Now this is a Three Houses DLC I can get behind, looking forward to trying it out.

I hope you're right about the paralogues at least. I just hate how the Black Eagles route is already two-thirds finished in terms of main story missions before the timeskip. The war side is the more interesting and entertaining side IMO so that just makes me bitter. lol

I hope it will make the 25€ worth.
I don't think it's gonna be a fourth whole route (like, 20 chapters), but 8-10 would make this a fine dlc. The designs are cool.

I'd just glad we finally got a release date for this. In my current playthrough I have everyone off-roster studying punching/magic/flying just in case this got shadow dropped on us anytime soon.

Fairly underwhelming. Characters looks like rejected concepts from the main game. It doesn't make that much sense with the plot of the main game either.

So far I'm pretty happy with not buying the season pass. In hindsight it was kind of smart to sell it without revealing it's content.

All I see is a scrub brigade that somehow created a fourth house under the monastery.

Can't wait to play more FE3H, but goddamm that's just silly haha.

What do y'all think about this being a potential true/good ending route where all the houses work together?

What with it being hinted at by Yuri's "I promise no one will die at the end of the trailer," and Hilda and Edelgard being shown on the same team in one of the screenshots when that isn't possible in any route, and the mumering going on that you'll be able to recruit all three lords.

While I'm not a fan of this being paid DLC (again), I thought the narrative for the game was pretty weak in everyone's story but Verdant Wind, with an emphasis being placed on character building (which was amazingly well done). I'm excited for a storyline where maybe, we actually learn more about Those Who Slither and the Church, and how them and the other issues of society are all interconnected.

The 1 v. 1. v. 1. v. 1 angle still never felt like it had a strong foundation, so to have the Three Houses consolidated into one would be awesome. I mean, it's not like Fates where Hoshido and Noir had like 30 units each; heck, all Three Houses unit combined is less than that.

Well, I think he kept his promise! ;)

But anyway, I'd be cool with this being a fourth route but I'm not suspecting that will be the case. Right now, I'm centering on the fact that we see only the younger versions of the lords and I'm thinking that this will play out as a side story which must be tackled during the first half of the game. And while that could end up being cool and I'll probably enjoy my time with it regardless, it would still be a bit of a bummer to me because (and yeah, I know, I wrote this already) I'd rather have more content during the war half instead.

"i promise no one will die" is code for "y'all gon' die"

it'd be a riot if Ashen Wolf was the golden ending in that the houses band together, but the three house leaders all wind up dying in for united cause instead

Is this the story expansion that the eshop says is coming like in April or something or is that something else? A whole other expansion?

Can someone remind me what the 4 leaked new classes were?

The only one I remember (and was also shown off in the trailer) is Dark Flier.
I think there was one with magic and axes too or something?

If this is just a side story for part 1 with no real impact on the war beyond having new playable characters for it then this is pretty mid.

This is indeed the one you're thinking of, yeah. It was scheduled to arrive by the end of April, that's all.

To be honest—and it might still end up surprising me—I wish they had taken at least until April making this as substantial as possible, considering the rest of the pass has been... largely nothing, with most of the good stuff being free.

This wave really needs to earn the entire thing's pricepoint. The rest of the waves weren't even as good as the XB2 pass' pre-Torna content.

This has all the datamined info based on the last 3 Houses update. All four classes are Advanced-tier (level 20+).

It's disappointing to read that wave 3 isn't seen as having added much. I haven't played through Three Houses since like wave 2 because I'm waiting for all the DLC to be out first but wave 3 did seem pretty cool to me from what folks were saying.

Game is confirmed to be a side story, independent
Using google translate

The save data of the side story is independent, and the progress status of "Fuka Hanayuki" is not inherited . When starting the side story, decide on the appearance and name of the hero, the difficulty level (normal / hard), and the mode (classic / casual).

00001906_15.jpg

Seems like you can't recruit, you have to fight with fixed party members

In the main part of "Fuka Setsugetsu", I taught students of my own class in an academy, deepened exchanges and faced "Assignment sortie" at the end of the month (Monday), but the side story is a different game from the main part Expand under the cycle .

In addition, in the main story, it was possible to scout students of other classes to their own class, but in the side story, you will survive the battle with fixed members.

Big update on how this works:

  • Completely separate from the main game - you select it from the menu, select a Byleth/difficulty (no Maddening) and go.
  • Takes place early in part 1. Byleth and the students pursue a mysterious figure and wind up in the Abyss, a town under Garreg Mach that the Church is silent on.
  • The Ashen Wolves are former students of the Academy who have their own reasons for going to the Abyss.
  • Doesn't follow the month/mission structure of the main game.
  • No additional recruits - you have a set army.
  • Said to be a little tougher than the main game.
  • No word on if the characters will carry over into the main game upon completion, though the datamined supports/part 2 classes would suggest they would.
