Is this a contained DLC?
Looks kinda meh lol, i'll definitely play it though because battling in FE is so much fun
Story-wise, it's a "side story," but we don't know any more. Gameplay-wise, there's new classes and stuff.

We don't know yet when or how will it integrate but it's just better to wait for anew playthrough imo it's less than a month away anyway.Hmm, should I wait to start my 4th playthrough until this is out? Do we know where it'll integrate with the rest of the game?
I could see that if this had been a direct and both were shown together to the same audience, but as it stands the Smash news is just completely overshadowing this DLC announcement. This Expansion Pass announcement makes the Smash character reveal all the worse.
Because now you know that Nintendo chose Blyth for cross-promotion marketing for Three Houses instead of enriching Smash Ultimate.
Elise already is TECHNICALLY an adult.
Thank you!Story-wise, it's a "side story," but we don't know any more. Gameplay-wise, there's new classes and stuff.
fire emblem even lets you be gay more than Persona 5Why Smash promoting a game that doesnt even release on a nintendo device, P5R, is ok, but Smash promoting FE, a game that not only releases for Switch but is also owned by them, is not ok?
Logically this can only take place pre-timeskip. I mean, that's what we see in this footage and it's pitched as a side-story. Given the story diverges at the time-skip, it makes sense that the bulk of this content (finding these characters and working with them and doing whatever narrative content there is) takes place before the time skip happens and everyone goes their separate ways.
That being said, I expect there'll be post timeskip content with these characters, probably in the form of paralogues.
I would gladly buy the game if Guyletg could have a boyfriend twin but I really don't Yuri looks like him...
It was prob a reference to this dialogue in fates that ppl found funny :

Three Houses deserves to be in Smash anyway, it was a matter of when not ifThis Expansion Pass announcement makes the Smash character reveal all the worse.

What with it being hinted at by Yuri's "I promise no one will die at the end of the trailer,"
"i promise no one will die" is code for "y'all gon' die"What do y'all think about this being a potential true/good ending route where all the houses work together?
What with it being hinted at by Yuri's "I promise no one will die at the end of the trailer," and Hilda and Edelgard being shown on the same team in one of the screenshots when that isn't possible in any route, and the mumering going on that you'll be able to recruit all three lords.
While I'm not a fan of this being paid DLC (again), I thought the narrative for the game was pretty weak in everyone's story but Verdant Wind, with an emphasis being placed on character building (which was amazingly well done). I'm excited for a storyline where maybe, we actually learn more about Those Who Slither and the Church, and how them and the other issues of society are all interconnected.
The 1 v. 1. v. 1. v. 1 angle still never felt like it had a strong foundation, so to have the Three Houses consolidated into one would be awesome. I mean, it's not like Fates where Hoshido and Noir had like 30 units each; heck, all Three Houses unit combined is less than that.
Is this the story expansion that the eshop says is coming like in April or something or is that something else? A whole other expansion?
This is indeed the one you're thinking of, yeah. It was scheduled to arrive by the end of April, that's all.
Yeah, the first wave released when the game launched and this is the last one.So this is the last DLC for the pass right? iirc they revealed the pass as having four waves of dlc.

Can someone remind me what the 4 leaked new classes were?
The only one I remember (and was also shown off in the trailer) is Dark Flier.
I think there was one with magic and axes too or something?
To be honest—and it might still end up surprising me—I wish they had taken at least until April making this as substantial as possible, considering the rest of the pass has been... largely nothing, with most of the good stuff being free.
This wave really needs to earn the entire thing's pricepoint. The rest of the waves weren't even as good as the XB2 pass' pre-Torna content.
The last few games had the DLC missions in sub-menus. I expect this will follow suit. How does Fire Emblem DLC work? I've never really been sure. Is it post game stuff? Is it a separate option on the main menu so you don't carry anything in?
I haven't cleared FE on the Switch yet!
The save data of the side story is independent, and the progress status of "Fuka Hanayuki" is not inherited . When starting the side story, decide on the appearance and name of the hero, the difficulty level (normal / hard), and the mode (classic / casual).
In the main part of "Fuka Setsugetsu", I taught students of my own class in an academy, deepened exchanges and faced "Assignment sortie" at the end of the month (Monday), but the side story is a different game from the main part Expand under the cycle .
In addition, in the main story, it was possible to scout students of other classes to their own class, but in the side story, you will survive the battle with fixed members.
