Okay finally got it sorted !
Huge thanks to Wazzy for the giveaway and the game. Final Fantasy still gets me as excited as it did back many years ago !
The Design/Theme doesn't seem to be available for me right now or I am doing something wrong when I click on the FFVIII Remastered Theme in my PS4 System Settings it brings me to this screen :
Maybe I have to wait for release?

Maaaaan, I still remember these guides! They were SO good, I had this one and I couldn't tell you how much I would go through it over and over.Found my original guide that I've been using for my review. It's been a fun blast from the past.

I don't think I have that FFVIII guide anymore unfortunately. I remember looking for it and my Xenogears guide one afternoon and found out my mom had tossed them since they were in a huge pile of printed gamefaqs walkthroughs :/
still have the FFVII Prima guide though! Even though they always had quite a few errors they brought me so much entertainment as a kid, flipping though the pages and planning out my party and strategies.

I really liked this game when it came out. Not played it in years. Probably get it on PC. Hmm. I think it's my second favourite FF game.

They were good until the FF9 one where they tried to get you to go to their damned website to find out nearly everything.
Still really bummed that Chocobo World wasn't included and we have to rely on Angelo to get ribbons and friendships.

I'm curious why? Did you like Chocobo World?
I personally found it incredibly boring after like 10 minutes of the same thing over and over. The only reason I continued is so that I could get all the summons and item exclusives.
I found it fun in a very kiddy way, yes. And now I wonder, will the Boko summon be able to do ChocoBocle? Or are we stuck with the shitty Chocofire? And what about Minimog???

All the items should be available so we can access Minimog, Moomba and Boko. I would assume they have managed to figure out a way to implement everything without any issues from not having access to Chocobo World. Probably just ignores the fact Boko can be sent between the CB world and VIII.
without spoilers, I would highly recommend getting Odin before the end of Disc 3
Technically it's probably better to get him in Disc 4, but I think it's a lot more satisfying to do before that. It's worth experiencing at least once.

I'm going off of memory but I'm pretty sure they did. But it's hidden inside a Final Fantasy app.

For new players, this is something that becomes accessible on Disc 2 after a certain point. It's worth it to get as soon as possible!
I gotta admit, I'm really tempted to get this sometime. I've had a bit of distain for this game since I was younger and watched Spoony's review of it. But I gave FFX a fair shot and I enjoyed it so far, so I'd like to finally give this game a fair shot finally with this remaster. It looks pretty nice...

Grabbed a clear shot of the controls for when you start a new game.
VIII doesn't have the music bug that has been an issue for previous ports. The bug it does have is really specific to get and easy to avoid.

It's worth to ignore as long as possible, or better yet, forever. All Odin does, is leveling up your party, which is something you never want to do in FFVIII.
