I remember trolls were complaining that Tifa's chest wasn't big enough lmao
They still are:

It's because they cut it strangely and I've always found that basically all voice acting sounds bizarre when you remove the background sound effects. It's recorded to be heard alongside other things, not layered completely on top of silence. Why does the voice acting always sound so weird in SE trailers? The Honey Bee scene is so weird because the music and dialogue sounds off.

In what fucking world does the voice acting sound bad lmao, I honestly think these are all the best voices these characters have ever had in English just from the trailers and demo alone.
I'm saying that if you think this is bad then you don't know what actual bad (english) voice acting sound likes. Because the voice acting is actually pretty decent, it's not world class but it's not: "absolute shit" either.
Good voice actors cost money I guess. They replaced them all with new ones.
FF7R had a reboot of its own midway through in 2017 or thereabouts though, when they ditched CyberConnect2 and brought development in-house and put the guy from Final Fantasy Mobius in charge.According to Wikipedia FFVII Remake started full development in 2015 and with it releasing in 2020 makes it about 5 years in development, which is longer for an overall smaller game.
So technically FFVII could be pretty content rich and also be more polished than FFXV.
Ever since FFX I've come to realize some have ridiculously high standards when it comes to this stuff.
I don't know if it being taken away from CyberConnect2 counts as a full reboot. IF you go back and watch the 2015 trailer, the same cutscenes and even gameplay concepts are still there (you can actually see the ATB bar filling up with successive attacks, just like the current system, albeint only one instead of multiple).FF7R had a reboot of its own midway through in 2017 or thereabouts though, when they ditched CyberConnect2 and brought development in-house and put the guy from Final Fantasy Mobius in charge.
Didn't listen to the Japanese one yet, even the Japanese VA was bad in 15 so hopefully it's better here.Good voice actors cost money I guess. They replaced them all with new ones.
Will be playing in Japanese for sure.
Otherwise the blue dress seems like a lot of work for ~5 minutes of screen time.Hope you can unlock these outfits as alternate costumes.
Plus the cowboy outfit.
It's all about hyperbole on these message boards. I've seen people call games/graphics that aren't that bad "complete dogshit." Just can't be helped lol.I'm saying that if you think this is bad then you don't know what actual bad (english) voice acting sound likes. .....have they even seen a real life woman before. How is that underdeveloped.
Would be even more work to make it compatible for in-battle, so I can see them opt to not make it available.Otherwise the blue dress seems like a lot of work for ~5 minutes of screen time.

The only boobs this guy ever touched are his own.
Underdeveloped? In what world?
Dialogue is fine, it's the voice acting that's absolute shit. Which is why I play these types of experiences in Japanese. How it is 2020 and this is the level of voice acting Square has given us, in the age of something like Witcher 3, for such an anticipated game, is beyond me. They literally sound like Saturday morning cartoon show characters from the 80s. But as long as the game is awesome it won't affect me because I'll never hear the English language track.
Speaking of which, anyone know if there's a subtitled version of that Japanese language trailer?
Yeah shit like that really calls into question if the poster has ever met a woman.
I feel like I'm alone in liking the English dub thus far.
Though (some) people tend to really value overacting so anything not over the top seems to be considered bad.
Nah, even the dialogue. It sounds so unnatural and so... translated. People simply don't talk like that. No native Engish speaker in their right mind would ever say such things to express whatever is happening. Stuff like: "The stench of the director's cowardice fills the room yet again". I mean really now? Really!? It's an English phrase alright, one you might find in a book, an old one presumably, but no one actually ever speaks like that. Ever.
The script sounds so unnatural. Humans don't talk like this lmao. That rock song is not doing it for me.
Beyond that, the game is so incredibly gorgeous.
I can prefer the Japnese dub of FF XV but can still see that the US dub of FF XV is good, even if it changed characterizations a bit. The ones for FXII and XIII are also quite solid. The clips I saw from Advent Children were ok, I think, but I only saw the Japanese version from start to finish. Dirge though, ho boi. The same crew was wasted there. It's not high standards is just flat out not wanting anything other than japanese language because the hell do I know, a perfectly valid choice I must say, but just wish they were more honest instead of always trashing english dubs.
More likely than being available in battle, I think they will just cook up more scenarios for this outfit and Aeris' to be worn. Cloud's too.Would be even more work to make it compatible for in-battle, so I can see them opt to not make it available.
We'll have to see.
You might be surprised to find that many of these individuals have never actually cupped a pair of breasts in their hands. There's no real frame of reference for them.
"Spoilers" just don't affect the enjoyment of stuff to a lot of people. Experiencing stuff first hand & in its full form & context can still be enjoyable when actually playing/experiencing stuff the first time, even if you have already seen some 3-5 second snippets from a bunch of scenes in trailers and some stuff doesn't come completely out of the left field. And, like, watching a boss fight and being in control during that boss fight yourself are two totally different experiences. Even if you've already seen some spoilery boss fights, having to beat them yourself & deal with their attacks, spells & different phases is still exciting.
